We tried 2 different "ice-cream" shops this evening in town. Both small batch freshly made. But this place was definitely Superior! Better Taste! Better Value! My son who already got icecream at the other shop was disappointed that he had already gotten ice cream at the other place! The employee here was very patient while I tried many of the flavors. I have lots of food sensitivities and I was trying to avoid causing an upset stomach. I ended up choosing mint chip and wild strawberry! And oh my goodness I was in Heaven!!!! As a child I would visit Maine and pick wild strawberries and to my delight this sweet treat was truly a treat and very refreshing!!! My oldest son and my husband had different flavors and loved theirs as well. They mentioned how rich and tasty theirs was! Even with the cold windy weather it was so enjoyable!!! As a long-time fan of Italian gelato, I was delighted to discover Zio Matto Gelato at a local farmers market. We sampled everything on the menu, and my family quickly fell in love with their gelatos. Stracciatella, tiramisu, pistachio, and coffee flavors became our regular favorites.

We also became fans of their macarons — enormous, bursting with flavor, and absolutely delicious. During the holidays, we had the pleasure of trying their hazelnut and pistachio gelato cakes, both of which were simply delightful.
