Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in Mentor

I apologize for the long review but way overdue for the Mentor location. On line ordering of the Bakers dozen needs an option for bagel selection. 1st visit a couple mos ago - not knowing bagels are selected for you, and I only wanted “everything” bagels, when I picked up bagels, Jes was very upset, tossed the bag, and angrily filled my order. The 2nd time I ordered in store and the dozen bagels started getting filled automatically before I could get to window / counter to specify bagel selection - and the older lady long blondish hair snapped at me that I should have waited by the window to let her know?? Really ? there were others ahead of me - like I know their process? Today I ordered on line and immediately called as well to advise specific bagels as the last 2 experiences were met with criticism. It wasn’t even 30 seconds and person answered indicated my order was already filled??? I doubt that!!! Bruegger's seriously needs to do better and make online ordering allow for customer selection when ordering bulk bagels. Not everyone wants what the rude employees want. People have varying reasons for what they choose to buy.

When I got there, cashier advised she would fill my order but I needed to step aside as she waited on others (apparently the workers that fill orders were upset and wouldn’t help). I asked for a mgr and was told Matt wasn’t there and was asked why did I need a mgr? I explained the consistency of the rude behavior of Jes and the older lady w/ long hair. I mean really Jes, are you that angry over bagels? It was not busy at all, else I’d possibly see their viewpoint but not to the extent of Jes’s level of anger.. wow. I had a coupon so I tried the new western hash brown bagel thing.... tall, I DE-voured this deliciousness of Breakfast. Coffee was very fresh and bold. I wish creamers were better labeled and had more variety (coconut milk) but employees are quick to greet, friendly, and make sandwiches quickly. Watching employees interact w demanding regulars was hilarious and pleasantly respectful. Gentleman cashiering was Stellar mannered and helpful. Overall, I will be back. This is a stellar mom get away. Relaxing yet busy atmosphere. Daily specials make it more worth it, and coupons are a great score!...

Nora was excellent on service and front cash really personable and friendly. Helped me to find the prices for my order and assisted me in making a selection. Had my order whipped up in a jiffy. I usually just buy my bagels and dash and don't eat in. I enjoyed the bright cheery store with the oldies music. The seating is somewhat worn but the seats are padded and somewhat comfortable. The help comes out and wipes the tables. All I noticed we're crumbs from the morning Rush. I tried their iced coffee and it was great and no side effects afterwards.
