Denny's — Restaurant in Mentor

My husband & I arrived here around 4:20 pm, we were greeted by a young man and directed to a booth. He gave us water, a smile and said "your waitress will be right with you". Well I quess our waitress was not in the building, because NO ONE else acknowledged us, nor came to our table. We watched the clock and the 2 waitresses sweep around us, wipe the tables around us like we were invisble, and bring out meals through out the restaurant to the other customers. Not one time did anyone outside of the initial young man acknowledge us. The restaurant was not crowded, I do not know why this happened!! Well after sitting there for 20 or so minutes I walk up to the counter and ask for a Manager. The lady said one moment please, and the young lady who walked past my table 5 or 6 times had the nerves to say 'I will be right with you"! Assuming I was cashing out. Well the manager came up with her coat on and bags in her hands, listened & stated that she would find out what happened! She offered us an appetizer!!! After your company has wasted 35 minutes of my life that I will never get back, AN APPETIZER!! I was really upset! We left no meal, MONEY in our pockets and went elsewhere where we were treated with respect like quest. I am a mgr for a large Retail chain and it is customers that make our salesplans, and bonuses. It is loyal customers that return and invite new customers and advertise for us. Now what kind of word of mouth advertising will I do for DENNYS? I won't! I will say try Scramblers, or Bob Evans, customers have choices WE are not limited to unnacceptable customer service like what I experienced in...

While traveling back home from NY, we stopped in to get lunch. I ordered a "tried and true" dish that I always get at our neighborhood Denny's restaurant which was the Bourbon Chicken Skillet. It was awful in that all of my food was literally swimming in Bourbon sauce! I eat this dish all the time and have NEVER had it drenched in bourbon sauce so much so that it was almost sickening. I couldn't really tell the waitress in time to get it re-made because she was scarce and we were on a time crunch, trying to get back home. But when she brought us the check, I showed her the full saucer full of bourbon sauce that I had drained from my plate, telling her how bad it was and all she said was "We have a new cook."

And when I went to the register to pay I asked the guy taking my payment if he was a Manager and he said yes, so I told him how bad it was and how I had drained a full saucer full of bourbon sauce from my plate, and had never seen anything like it before. And he too only replied, "We have a new cook." He never offered any apology or any discount... just seemed as if he did not care at all. I am...

Waited 5 mintues to be seated with only 2 tables being full at the time there was no employees to be seen. My first cup up coffee was great the waiter was great then a lady dressed in plained clothes come over and first delivers us the wrong tables food ok fine!! But then she comes back ask me if I'd like a refill and comes back with a carafe full of coffee and starts refilling my glass only for the top of the carafe to come off and spill all of it on my arm and the table!! Then she comes back with a full cup and it tasted horrible and the glass was not clean!! After that whole mess we got our appetizer which was yummy loaded nacho tots!! Then out comes our food and it was flavorless I got a mushroom swiss burger with a cheddar bun unfortunately they were out of bacon!! I leave my review with a full price paid meal that was spilt on me by a plain clothes probably dosnt even work there lady and a chef that cant even put salt and pepper on a burger however my waitress was sweet and kind although very slow!! I will be revisiting this place in hopes of a better experience but I'm very upset with...
