Michaels — Local services in Mentor

Overall the store itself is not terribly bad other than the high prices unless you get a good sale and coupons. Although the customer service at this particular store the day my friend and I went was beyond horrible. When it came to the in store coupon on the phone and the cashier couldn't find 50% off, the female black employee said just give her 40%... umm no my friend wasnt having that. Then this black lady with cat nails attempted to snatch my friends phone out of her hand to do the coupon for her without permission to even touch her phone (which some people may be okay with, but when dealing with the general public, you just don't do that, many people don't like to be touched let alone their personal property, on top of that to try to take it out of someone's hand without permission...) and then if that wasn't bad enough, she blatantly lied about trying to take it out of her hand! Smdh. I don't think we'll be shopping here again unless it was...

Had the worst experience ever here . Went to look at floral and on my way out the alarm went off . The cashier made me walk back in store even tho I had a small purse and nothing on me . Then said I had to wait for manager . I don’t have time for this I told him . So he has me empty my purse in front of everyone . How embarrassing . And then take each thing through scanner again for nothing to even go off . And then had me leave my wallet and phone on counter . It’s actually even illegal for an employee to stop someone . Especially without calling police . The cashier was a tall thin male with long hair . So let’s let people who actually steal get away while I work a job and stole nothing have a clean record and pay for idiots who don’t work . Makes perfect sense . I will tell everyone I know not to come here . I wish I could give ten negative stars and I’m notifying other people to get...

I visited Michaels in Mentor, Ohio yesterday, October 15th, 2022... I Haven't been there since Before Covid began, and my shopping experience was absolutely incredible!!! Top notch customer service with the knowledgeable and friendly Gene and Ashley!!! Both of these ladies are very customer-oriented, and to make it short- a fanastic addition to your company!!! They both went way out above and beyond their job descriptions: GREAT ASSETS TO YOUR COMPANY!!! Times are hard but they both deserve a raise or at the least acknowledgement of what they both contribute to your customers !!!
