Dusty's Tap Room — Restaurant in Meridian Charter Township

The young lady that was working on Labor Day (9/4/17) needs a lesson in customer service! My wife and I stopped by just for a couple of drinks. We sat outside and waited quite awhile for someone to show up (not really a problem). When the waitress finally did show up, we asked her what beers were on tap. She then pointed to the glass window where there was a list on a chalkboard. Had she actually looked over there, she would have noticed that the table RIGHT in front of it was occupied with people. We pointed this out to her and then in a snippy voice said "then you'll just have to go inside and look there".

The proper response would have been to get us a printed list, or if one wasn't available, ask us what type of beer we like and make a suggestion (it wasn't busy at all).

This should be unacceptable in a service industry. We've been to the tap room many times because we like the atmosphere and the brew selection. This is the first time we've experienced this type of service and I hope the management will address this and it will be the last.

Update: We have been back to Dusty's several times since this unfortunate experience and have had great service. I'm assuming this was a "one-off". It's a great atmosphere with a nice selection of beers. The food on the menu is good but they could change it up...

This place clearly has major work culture issues. On the one hand I appreciate the "laid back" vibe and I'm glad the staff is calm and relaxed. On the other hand they're definitely taking that too far. Waits for being greeted at our table, ordering drinks and appetizers, etc, were way too long. On top of that the waitress waited until nearly 20 minutes after we ordered to come tell us one of our two dinner items was out of stock. That should have been done within 5 minutes so a reorder could occur (I can definitely say she wasn't too busy because she stood around in plain sight chatting with other staff members for 90% of the time we were present).

Food was decent considering we ended up getting an appetizer and our salad but no entre because by the time waitress told us it was out we didn't want to deal with ridiculous waits to order another. Nothing to write home about.

Please address your work culture issues and get your servers and kitchen staff to coordinate and help customers properly. This was my 2 year anniversary dinner, went here because of positive reviews and was definitely disappointed. We...

We stopped here on our way to the east side. Chose it based on Google reviews.....and we were not disappointed AT ALL!! We sat at the bar and from the moment we sat down the customer service was great! Lauren was bartender and waitress for inside and outside seating....and you never felt "forgotten"! She was so friendly and attentive! Our food was perfect - I had the Dusty's (Crispy) Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato tots and my husband had the Black n Blue Burger with fries. Perfection! They have a great selection of beers on tap, too! While we are not from the area, we will definitely keep this on our list of recommended...
