I visited here today, around 4:44pm, looking for a meal because traffic was terrible and I was hungry.
I arrived in the drive-thru, and Sandra informed me she was the only person working at the time.
I placed my order and then drove around to the drive through, and then asked her what happened to cause her to be all alone. She politely informed me that 2 people had left at 4 and the person due to arrive at 4pm didn't, and no other workers were due until 5pm.
Despite having to work entirely by herself, incredibly, she was SUPER friendly, pleasant, kind, and considerate.
Thru the drive-thru window I saw her repeatedly put on new safety gloves when preparing food, help multiple other customers while still paying attention to me and ensuring my meal was exactly the way I wanted it, all while demonstrating really good knowledge of the food options available to me as I asked more questions.
Kudos to Sandra, she deserves a raise and a bonus for being a spectacular team player and doing a fantastic job for Freddy's.
While I always have a good experience at Freddy's, today was top notch considering the circumstances and I wanted to make sure Sandra was recognized!
August 4th, 2024: An update from me, a regular patron at your establishment. I visited today, and was served by Sophia via the drive-thru.
Let me just say, this employee has the most infectious and delightful personality and is full of SO MUCH ENERGY! She is definitely a keeper, take care of this one!
Thank you Freddy's for continuing to hire excellent staff!
Update: 9/19/2024:
Sadly, I am not planning on patronizing Freddy's any longer. Despite loving their fries and burgers, and often their custard, I can no longer ignore the decline in the quality of the employees they hire. Sometimes, they have excellent staff as I noted previously in my former reviews of this establishment. But lately, the employees (teenagers) just don't seem to care much about their job, the customer service, the quality of their work. They are there to hang out with their coworkers, friends, and visit Tik Tok on their phones. The customer is secondary, as is the quality of their work. Even though I really will miss their food in my life, I cannot continue to visit them and give them my hard earned money when I see this lack of quality happening in front of my eyes. I used to go here at least once a week, sometimes twice, but this will come to an end due to what I perceive as a lack of leadership and discipline. If the owners of Freddy's wants to see how 5/5 star employees act and treat customers, go no further than your local Chick Fil A. They are literally the gold standard and I wish all fast food places followed in their example. Not the Christian part, but just the way 100% of their employees perform every day as an employee of their establishment. Sorry Freddy's, I know you can do better, and I...
Read moreWe've have been eating at Freddy's since they first opened. It was one of favorite restaurants. The last two visits have been very disappointing.
We went in December and the store was filthy. There were food streaks running down the walls and under the tables, and there were large stains running down the ice machine. We had to ask someone to wash off a table for us as they weren't cleaning tables in between guests, and all of the tables had food on them.
I have never filled out a comment card, but I submitted one with pictures that day. I later received an email from corporate saying my message had been forwarded to the store and asking how their response had been. I emailed back that I had received zero response. I never heard back from the store or corporate.
We decided to try again today, and we ordered take out. My daughter ordered a grilled cheese. They made it on a tiny hamburger bun turned inside out instead of bread. We weren't told they would be making this substitution. It was $6 for this so called "grilled cheese", the tiniest fry I've ever seen, and a kid size drink. My son got the chicken strip kid's meal, and the chicken was much smaller than normal and he got significantly less fries. (They actually forgot to give us his food, so our food got completely cold while we waited for them to make his food.) Our burgers and fries were definitely not as good as they used to be. I'm guessing the increase in food costs have caused them to cut quality and quantity.
Our bill for 4 people was $40 (2 kid's meals, 2 burgers, two sides, mini ice cream). That is the same price we pay at Red Robin for bottomless fries, bottomless kid's meals, and table service. We want to love this place, as it was one of our favorite restaurants for a very long time. Unfortunately whoever is managing this location seems to not care about the...
Read moreAnytime a new burger joint rolls into town, my significant other and I always want to try it out. My SO ordered the Freddy's Original Double and I ordered the Double Bacon and Cheese. Plus we ordered a large fry to share and I wanted to try their Pumpkin Pie Concrete. Our total came to a little over $18, which I thought was a bit pricey. I will say that I absolutely loved the fries, my SO wasn't such a fan of the shoestring cut but we both agreed that the seasoning was pretty yummy. I thought the Pumpkin Concrete was pretty good but I ordered the mini and it cost $3.99. Personally, I'd rather get a shake from Big Bun for around the same cost. Now for the burgers...I was disappointed in these. The meat was really salty...add that to the salty fries and by the end of the meal I am sure my blood pressure was through the roof. While the patties are very thin (I'd say their double equates to a normal single at most burger places when it comes to thickness), they do extend out past the bun. The meal was really filling but I just couldn't get passed how salty it was. Overall, the concrete was delicious but for the price, I'd rather go elsewhere. The fries were my favorite thing out of the meal. Crispy, salty goodness! The burgers were a total let down and I don't expect I'll ever go back. I'd rather go to Zimms for their burger and fries (and fry sauce!) than to Big Bun for the best shakes in town and still probably pay less...
