First, deleted my name from the waiting list after being told it would be 15 minutes for my son and I to get a table. Over 25 minutes later (and when they started sitting people who had been there for 5-10 minutes, I realized we had been overlooked. Apparently, when they transferred names from a sheet of paper to the table system they left my name off. However, the guy seating then immediately gave us a table. Fine. We got Taylor, a waitress who I know has waited on us at least half of our latest visits. She placed our order. We had no rolls. Taylor said they were baking. Unfortunately, the couple behind us complained about not getting any rolls (whatsoever) their entire meal (been there an hour too); they left about 3 minutes after we were seated. That means that for at least 1.5 hours no one had gotten a roll. I looked around at the other tables and people who had been seated right before us had no rolls and no food. We got our food about 16 minutes after we ordered... My meal should have had enough meat to equal a deck of cards. I got 6 tiny pieces of meat that smelled bad and weren't properly cooked. I ordered well-done but the inside looked like it had been frozen, thawed, refrozen and then burned on the outside because the inside was still frozen! And it smelled funny... I got a tiny bit of broccoli (as though one stalk of broccoli had been steamed and my potato tiny and tasted like it had been baked and then reheated and burned. The only thing that was hot was the broccoli. And we were sitting were I could see the kitchen and we got our food as soon as it was ready. When Taylor came back to check on our food, I asked her to get the manager. The manager finally walked over 20 minutes later (after she had been standing near my table the entire time we were sitting there, literally doing nothing). The manager, who never gave her name (short chubby brunette), tried blaming the waitress (I stopped her and said this girl had waited enough on us that I knew it wasn't her fault), then being understaffed (which is a BS excuse for not even getting rolls to the table) then finally stopped making excuses when I wasn't going for it. She then asked if I really wanted my food taken off my bill (after me literally only being able to eat the broccoli). Seriously?!? Then she said the rolls were still baking, to which I pointed out they'd been baking for nearly two hours since the other couple hadn't gotten and no one else had since we had been seated at this table. I said I wanted some to go since that was one of the reasons my son wanted to eat there. Waited almost another 15 minutes for her to bring us a box to go. There is a problem at that location... it is called a poor manager. They have lost staff that have been there for a while, the manager (who should have been in there and baking rolls herself instead of standing around pretending to do something) clearly does not know what she is doing and does not value her staff. I have never had a manager blame their server for the cook or seating staff's mishaps. You could tell the entire restaurant was disorganized and frustrated and management was not doing anything to help. My son ate three pieces of the steak tips I got (even though I told him I thought they might be spoiled) and by the time we crossed the Alabama state line he got sick and stayed sick for two days with possible food poisoning. While that will teach him to not eat food when his mother says it looked bad, we should have never had this experience. Also, the women's bathroom have gotten completely nasty since Easter weekend and it is obvious by the broken and leaking items that no manager is attempting to fix the problem... This is gross and if you cannot retain help it is time to quit blaming the servers and review the management. I have worked in enough restaurants as a server to know the difference and I'm positive the sales at this location would reflect such. This was on...
Read moreMy mother, grandmother and I went to the Logan's Roadhouse in Meridian Mississippi near the Drury Inn & Suites. My family and I went to Logan's Roadhouse to get lunch while we visited our aunt who fell ill early this morning. We decided to go to Logan's because they have a phenomenal chicken club sandwich. I promised my mom and grandmother that they would love the sandwich so we ordered two chicken club sandwiches and one Misquite Grilled Shrimp with Rice Pilaf and Broccolli. We ordered and after 30 minutes we had not received our order. We asked our server when we could expect the order and he told us "5 minutes". He said that there was a health inspection taking place and the staff was a bit antsy and that is why the order was taking so long. About 10 minutes later the manager stopped by the table and informed us that the order would be another 5 minutes. The server stopped back over immediately and asked us if we spoke to the manager, we told him yes and he told us that there was a glitch in the system so the ticket needed to be reprinted. Lastly, we waited another 20 minutes and still no order. My mother walked to the restroom and saw that the other tables in the restaurant that were seated after us had their completed orders. They had steaks and chicken dishes and appetizers. At that point I became very irritated with the fact that not only did we order chicken sandwiches and a shrimp skewer dinner, but that we also recorded three different explanations as to why we had not received our orders. My family and I got up and exited the building. Before leaving, I talked to the manager whom I had to look for and told him that we were not happy with the service and he simply said "I'll take care of that". The service and timeliness of our experience was terrible. Needless to say, we never got the food we ordered and we wasted 1 hour and 30 minutes of our time. I will never come to another Logan's Roadhouse again if this is the level of service that I can expect to receive. By the way, we shared our experience with our family here in Mississippi and Alabama....

I stopped into this Logan's Roadhouse after a long drive from Mobile Alabama. I was hungry after I checked into my hotel and was looking for a place to eat right away. I found Logan's on Google maps and went over to eat. When I got there the restaurant was half-empty as it was just before the dinner rush. The Host told me they had no restaurant seating. There were many table open, but I guess this is a popular place on Saturdays. I was told I could sit in the bar area, so off I went. A few minutes later a server came by and dropped off the menus. As I was going through the menu that same server came by and told me I couldn't sit there and had to sit at the bar. I was seated in a deuce by the wall, with no other customers in the bar area. I was a little put-off and asked why, and the server just told me to go back to the Host stand. The Host told me they only had Bar seating. I told him I was in the bar. I was starting to get annoyed and googling other restaurants nearby. I was there to eat, and the restaurant was nowhere near full. Finally, I was allowed to sit at the bar, and the Bartender, sensing something was up went into super great service mode. She walked me through the menu, and when I told her about my seating experience, she laughed and said she would take care of me. Have eaten at other Logan's Steakhouse locations around the US and like the food, that's the reason I was there, I just originally wanted to sit in the restaurant. The food itself was great, and I enjoyed the food. There are some issues with the team at this location, these issues can be remedied with strong management and training. I've seen worse and the service team is very young so there is room for improvement. This is clearly a training issue. Good Luck !!
