Been going to Bundt cakes for months and given tons of money to them, never once have I been rude, in fact a lady was yelling and being extremely rude to one of the employees one day, even though the lady was right to be mad, but I still apologized to the girl working and left her a good tip because I’m a manager myself, an actual good one though, and I understand that sometimes you’re understaffed. This place is ALWAYS understaffed though and never seems to give a crap about giving good customer service. Anyways, I buy 6 white chocolate raspberry Bundt cakes quite often and 7 times now I’ve been given lemon, so obviously, their mistake! Every time I go back, I take the cakes, SHOW THEM, and every time they continue to call me a liar and are extremely rude. They replace the 6 cakes but no, “here’s something extra for OUR screw up”, or simply just making up for their mistake. I never asked for or expected compensation but after them being so caddy about everything, ya I think I deserve something for not having the cakes I paid for and spending more time and gas to come back and get the correct ones. As a manager whenever something like this happens we make it up to the guest and make it worth their while, we don’t call them a liar and act like we don’t give a crap. So same thing happened today, I take back 6 lemon cakes which I share with friends, family, coworkers and 7 times they’ve opened them and gotten lemon which now none of these people along with myself will ever give Bundt cakes our business again. But the manager walks out calls me a liar and grabs the cakes from my hand. When she figures out THEYRE LEMON! Like i said, she gives me 6 new ones, doesn’t apologize and again is extremely rude and rolls her eyes at me. I leave a review on the website because I would like to inform someone of their horrible employees so the owner can fix the problem and run a business the correct way. No, the owner calls me and says I’m a liar and she has footage of me being rude and “stealing” referring to their point system on the app and the free bundtlets you can claim. I’ve been nothing but polite and never once done anything even remotely rude, and I use the points I get from giving your crappy business so much money to get a free one on my next purchase. So obviously they just don’t like to honor their point system and reward you after spending tons of money. Your just making crap up because you know you’re in the wrong and you’re grasping at straws. So keep in mind, I’ve given this store a ton of business, money and been nothing but nice and I’ve had my cakes messed up multiple times, never been apologized to or compensated for them getting their only job incorrect. I just can’t believe a company would actually make up a bunch of stuff about me being the bad guy so they don’t have to take accountability for their mistakes and actions. After that extremely rude interaction I decided I will never be going back to Bundt cakes again. But the fact that this owner has no idea how to run a company and has the audacity to tell me “I’m banned” and not only that but she doesn’t let me get a single word in, meaning she knows I’m right and she’s wrong. This whole interaction blew my mind that a company can be that petty, and it sounds like the employees are making me the big bad villain so they don’t have to get in trouble by the boss when their the ones that screwed up and instead of the owner seeing through the bullcrap she decides to lose a ton of business and money. Good move! The owner obviously can’t run a business which is probably why they have 3 stars and why every time I go in their at least one guest is pissed off. So do yourself a favor and listen to these reviews because they are 100% correct and you should not give this place a cent...
Read moreI ordered a lemon cake online for my daughter’s 1st birthday. My pickup time was 2:30 and I ordered cake on the 7th. I was to pick it up the 9th. The owner Shannon is very rude. I arrived at 2:50 to pick up the cake. I take the cake that she gives me and I bring it to my car. I notice that this cake looks wrong, upon taking a closer look it says strawberries and cream so I take it back to her, and she says that it has my name on it. So I pull up my email receipt that shows exactly what I ordered. I stood outside for five minutes while she looked she then came back, and told me it wasn’t ready and to wait. no apologies or anything. I told Her that I would come back because my daughter was upset and I had to take her home. Because of how far my home is I arrive back at 4 and pickup the cake from Shannon who Still has a bad attitude despite the fact that I haven’t said I word about the situation. I get the cake home and I am setting up the food and I notice that the cake is very sloppy looking. As I take a closer look I notice that the cake is overcooked and deflated at the bottom. As someone who orders caked from here for every birthday party we have in my family I know when a cake from there isn’t right. At this time its5:45. I call Shannon and tell her about the birthday cake. I ask for a refund because nobody wants to touch or eat the burnt cake. She refuses and tells me to drive all the way back down and get a new cake telling me she’ll wait til 6:20. She’s telling me I should drop everything and come and get a new cake tonight. So she tells me I can come get a new cake tomorrow. Well I won’t have a need for a cake tomorrow because my daughters first birthday will be over. I have never experienced such terrible customer service anywhere. As an owner she should really learn how to talk to people instead of talking at them. And as a loyal customer for the past two years I have never been unhappy with their products until now. I just really wanted my daughter’s first birthday to be special and it was an unfortunate...
Read moreThis is absolutely nothing against any of the employees. This review is entirely for the owner/management. The owner requires her employees to speak in scripts. They have set responses for many questions customers may ask. They aren't allowed to be honest or speak for themselves. If they get the script wrong, they can get in trouble. Their employees are genuinely so sweet, but management treats them poorly.
They have unrealistic sales objectives and thus act very pushy about sales--trying to upsell customers who just want to purchase a simple cake. It is obvious that the employees are under enormous pressure to live up to robotic standards of behavior.
A note to the owner: Please stop treating your employees like robots. Stop expecting some unrealistic level of perfection. Show kindness. Let them be themselves. Treat them to honor customers by putting their true selves forward and allow them to have genuine, compassionate conversations without worrying about making more sales or getting the script correct. That's all that customers are really looking for. Stop trying to convince customers they need a handbag or apron when all they want is a cake, a smile, and a chance to interact with someone genuine and kind.
The way a business treats its employees is a big deal to me. According to the rest of the reviews, I am not the only one who has this opinion of the owner. It seems that many customers have had very negative interactions with her. I love the sweet employees here and I love the delicious cake, but I will not be buying a...
