Walked in the door, and 4 employees were standing around talking. Nobody else was in the store. As I walked in, I said "Hello" to the guy at the counter and again said, "Hi, how are you doing today?" I didn't get a response back. As he was too busy listening to two other employees talking. Once again, I said, "Hello?" and he replied with "what do you want?" I replied with "good thanks for asking. I will take a foot long with tuna." He replied, "You want two number 1s?" I said."No, I want a tuna foot long. What is number one?" As I'm looking up to the board, he replies with "ok foot long tuna." Turns and looks at the manager and the young lady still talking. Assuming he is waiting for me to pay. I don't know. I asked again. "Can I get a tuna foot long?" He replied with "yes, $16." I asked."What is on it?" and he replied,"lettuce tomato cucumber and cheese." As he is telling me this another employee pulls out the bread which clearly was not a foot long and I ask "is that a foot long" which the guy replied with "we don't have foot longs. Do you still want it." I said sure. I'll take it. I can eat the other half for lunch. Tomorrow, " the guy at the counter replied,"Make sure to frigerate overnight." which I replied. "Thanks, I will."
About 30 seconds later, the lady put the sandwich on the counter and didn't say a word to me if it was mine or it was ready. Not a word. I walked over to grab the sandwich that didn't have a bag or napkins, and I turned to walk out and thinking to myself, why isn't there a bag or napkins, which was odd. I turned around to go back to the to-go counter and asked, "Does it normally come with a to-go bag and napkins?" she points a finger at the bags on her side of the counter. So I reached over to the to-go counter to their side and grabbed the to-go bag. While looking for napkins, I didn't see any, so I grabbed some on their side of the counter, once again. Felt strange. As I turned to walk out, I nicely said, "Have a great day" to the gal. No response. Continue past the register. I told the guy at the register, "Have a great day. Also received no response.
Normally, they would ask if it's for here or to go.
Experience wasn't something I would consider exceptable for anybody.
Your customer service is abysmal. I'll spend my money at your competitors now on.
Threw the sandwich in the trash and went next door to Quicktrip.
Date and time....
Read moreIn my experience, they've lived up to the hype about speed that the commercials put forth at least 8/10 times. Not that I actually care, b/c I don't go during rushes. But still. You don't have to have my sammich ready before I can even fill up my cherry coke*. It's nice, though.
I think cherry coke over pebble ice is the best drink with American cuisine like subs and burgers and chicken finger and fish/chips. Somebody in charge at JJ's thinks so too. Is it kismet?
I recommend getting their hot peppers no matter what you order. Many places only have jalapeños. Psh. Nah, friend, you need what JJ's got. And their fresh bread is also better than the other top 2 places that I'm not supposed to name as a "local guide." But I think you know what they are.
I'm a Bootlegger's Club guy. Because I think the roast beef marries well with the turkey. That's not always the case, because "roast beef" taste varies HUGELY from place to place. It's barely a category. I like JJ's.
Back to the bread: careful with an 'unwich'. The meat is preserved in a way intended to go with bread. Without it, people tend to think it tastes real salty. I'm not knocking it. I'm just conveying...
Read moreThis is the store with the WORST customer service EVER. We get several orders from this store (not sure why we keep doing it), and every time, today included, we wait for over an hour to get our food and if we call, the person on the phone is rude and quite clueless to what is going on. Today, I have been waiting for my order now for 75 minutes. I called and asked when we would have our food and the person that answered the phone REFUSED to help me. He would not tell me how much longer or even if the food was out for delivery. It was excuse after excuse after excuse. It is like this every time. There is nothing about this location that stands true to the Jimmy Johns company. Something...
