Not veteran or handicapped friendly. I'm parked outside of Alfredo's restaurant Italy in a clearly marked handicap parking spot with a spot on the passenger side for van access and the owner of Alfredo's restaurant parks in the van access area and when I informed them that they were part illegally they insisted no I'm not and I tried to explain to them and then they start telling me that I'm rude and rolled up the window but they did move from that spot when I said that I was calling the police which I did and gave the information about it was the owner of Alfredo's restaurant. I am sorry but based on that rudeness and arrogance I would never eat at that restaurant or recommended. Response to restaurant owner. I was not talking aggressive to you I have health conditions and I was out of breath. But clearly when you go to pull into the parking spot that I was in you see the handicapped wheelchair next to it in the next parking lot where you tried parking was for van access to be able to load a wheelchair into a van not a parking spot for a restaurant owner who doesn't care about their customers. I never once threatened you and I never once raised my voice to you I was out of breath having a new deal with ignorance. So get over that you're a restaurant owner and you feel you have exemptions because of it I'm here to tell you Karen you don't...

We heard about this unassuming place from a work friend who mentioned their fresh breads.. Easy to miss from Courteney, you have to go inside the shopping center next to the DMV in Merritt Isalnd. We are in the area recently so gave it a try. Very friendly staff made you feel welcomed. We started off with a very tasty Barratta cheese appetizer that was topped with crushed pistachio nuts and came with nicely seasoned artichokes. My wife had the fish special which consisted of a lightly breaded fresh snapper over rice and perfectly cooked string beans (crisp and sweat). I had the lamb Osobucco served over very smooth mashed potatoes. The gravey was rich and bit strong at first to my pallet. But still very tasty. I took home a good portion as it was filling and it tasted even better the next day. The dinner rolls (garlic knots without the garlic?) were the best we have experience so far in this area. Very tasty and added to the nice experience. I would definettly come back and look forward some other items on the extensive menu. This is a dinner only restaurante so plan on 4:30 or later to try it.

20 Feb 2021... We're from Daytona, and found Alfredo's as we were driving thru the area. We ALWAYS prefer to try locally-owned restaurants rather than larger chains and franchises. Soooo glad we hit Alfredo's, and absolutely love the fact that there is indeed a man named Alfredo who owns this place... Not only does he own it, but he's happy to greet you when you enter and say good-bye when you leave. Everything we ate was excellent! The most important test I apply when trying a new Italian restaurant, is the red sauce test. If the red sauce is no good and nothing it touches will be good either. Alfredo's red sauce is absolutely delicious. If he sold it by the jar I'd buy it! we both had eggplant dishes, my wife had eggplant parmesan while I had eggplant rollatini. As you can see from our pictures, everything looks delicious and tasted exactly the same way... we highly recommend you give Alfredo's a try. We don't think you'll be disappointed! Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that our server, Amanda, was absolutely excellent! She took great care of us. Thank you Amanda!

Alfredo's Paradiso - Merritt Island - 2 Stars

"Misdirection. What the eyes see and the ears hear, the mind believes." - Anonymous

They should change the name of this restaurant to Emmett Kelly's Paradise. Why? Because the guy that owns this place is a complete clown. He actually chased me out in the parking lot to argue with me after the meal. It is my opinion that the owner here is a fraud. He prances around the restaurant wearing a chef's jacket flamboyantly claiming he has the freshest ingredients. His patter is so convincing I was actually getting excited.

My server, Amy, started out as a real treat. She was prompt, courteous, and put up with all of my questions. I ordered my standard fare of Veal Marsala. I also decided to be adventurous because of the hype from the cook/chef, so I ordered the Combo Paridiso, which consists of Lasagna, Stuffed Shells, and Manicotti. Out of the gate, I was served this gorgeous salad. It had fresh tomatoes, purple onion, cucumber, and Romaine lettuce. I was like "wow, that looks good" when it came out. In a forced overwrought Italian accent Alfredo stated, "the dressing is homemade." I responded, "Awesome!" but then I took my first bite I was shocked at how flavorless the dressing really was - I mean literally devoid of flavor. It tasted like plain, unseasoned vegetable oil - not even olive oil. I used my finger to wipe the dressing from the bottom and zilch, zero, nada, nothing. I immediately panicked. You see, this is a more troublesome situation than someone using Sysco products, because I am thinking this guy is like a woman I dated years ago. She had a gourmet kitchen and loved to cook, but the food always lacked seasoning.

When the Veal Marsala arrived I took one look at it and saw the pre-cut mushrooms from a can sitting atop my veal medallions, all arranged in perfect uniform cut consistency. This actually became a bone of contention with me because Alfredo swore he cut every mushroom, to which I replied, "well, you must have the greatest knife skills in the world," and this putz responded that he does. I am thinking to myself, "yeah, that's why you are in a rundown strip mall in a low income area because you are an untapped culinary genius." The pasta, which he also claimed to be homemade, was not either. It was clearly box pasta, which was overcooked and flaccid. The veal medallions were pre-breaded slices of frozen chunk lamb. The sauce was not made to order, obviously pre-made and soupy and, like the dressing, it was lacking in seasoning. Finally, the combo arrived. I saw the meat sauce with nice big chunks of ground beef. I was like "ALL RIGHT FINALLY!!!!!!" But nope, this was likewise devoid of flavor. When I say devoid I mean a complete absence of flavor. Other than the sample bites of each item I could not eat the food.

My loyal followers know I don't ever mention price because if the food is outstanding I will pay virtually any price. However, this drossy slop was priced at $18.00. So with the $1.50 in actual cost he is knocking it out of the park with a hefty profit.

As I was walking out with two children in tow, Alfredo said in a loud voice with an overabundance of confidence that it was great food. I responded that "no, actually it was terrible and I think you are a fraud." To that response, he went completely berserk and started ranting and raving demanding to know what was wrong. As I started to list my grievances, rather than allowing me to tour the kitchen to see otherwise, he began shouting I was a liar. I hustled the kids outside because at this point I am thinking violence is about to occur. Thankfully, it did not, and we made it to the car safely. Once we got in the car, the kids said "oh my gosh, that guy is crazy" - even they know when things aren't right. I just responded to them , "Yeah, that's how people act when they get caught."

Big Boy says avoid this place like the plague. Food is below average and the owner is the saddest clown under the big top....

Food was fair and service was horrible! Been to this restaurant about 12 years ago and the food was great then. As the night progressed we realized why it's been 12 yrs since we were last at this restaurant. The service was terrible. The waitress never once checked on us or gave us updates on when our food would be coming out. Waited 30 minutes for her to take our order. When she came for drink orders she only took what my husband and I wanted and ignored my son. We told her we were in a little bit of a time crunch trying to get to the HS football game across the street so when my son ordered lasagna, she replied, "he shouldn't order that because it takes 30 minutes to warm up". First of all, why does it take 30 minutes to warm up lasagna? Second of all, we ended up waiting 35 minutes for the food so he COULD have had lasagna versus the mess they gave him. We both ordered Penne Alfredo Alla Romana. I ordered first and then my son ordered. As he was reading off the long title, I told the waitress he will have the same thing I ordered. So, 35 minutes later......they come out with my dish which was correct and his dish has only pasta and gobs of alfredo, no ham or peas!! Waitress said she didn't hear me say what he wanted. So, where on the menu is what he was given? Nowhere that I can see when looking online at the menu. Anyway, I digress. The waitress would only look at my husband during this time as I was the one talking and she asked him, "well what do you want me to do about it"? Um, hello? Make it right. Start off by apologizing for the mistake and MAKE IT RIGHT!!! Customer service 101 please. Any other restaurant we've ever frequented that made a mistake, they knew what to do and corrected it quickly. Ten minutes later we are still waiting for the waitress to bring the ham and peas. When we asked her when it would be out her reply was something along the lines of "well, I put the order in and too late to cancel now so whether he eats it now or not, it's already ordered". So 5 minutes later finally a dish of ham, peas and a lot more sauce came out. He was full by then after just eating the plain pasta with gobs of sauce so we had it all wrapped to go. The pasta was gross and soggy and too much sauce, it looked like soup on the plate. That's the last time we will be eating there. Not sure why we took it to go, it's going...

We regularly visit and eat at the place. I have to say, everytime I order and eat one of the entree dishes such as Fettuccini Alfredo with or without shrimp, Chicken Toscana, etc. It was delish and hands down fantastic. However, one time, my family member had a piece of hair in her entree dish. I know things and stuff happen but I feel that the chefs behind the kitchen doors should be wearing their hair nets all the time and not just every so often. I do not like entrees with a hint of hair in it. It is detracting and obvious. So that's that. Plus, we would also order and eat twelve inch pizzas. Almost everytime we call and order a pizza, the caller taking our order doesn't seem to be writing down our order and just responds with, "Yea", "Okay, yes, yes, yea", like he or she was slightly feverish to get off the phone and just automatically memorizes the order without taking notes. It seems as though everytime I pick up a pizza to go from here, there is always something wrong with it. We are the type who enjoys pizzas well done and extra crispy. Everytime I arrive and pick the pizza up, I check it and the ends of the slices doesn't seem slightly burnt and cooked at all. It tastes soft and chewy and not cooked well done and extra crispy. Like, I don't get what is so hard for them to cook it correctly. It irritates me unless if they are doing it on purpose because they recognize me everytime I walk in and pick up to go. I don't know if the staff actually strives to do a great job. Because we're tired of having constant feelings of not getting our money payment worth due to constant errors in our order. The lady owner is very nice and attentive. I just want to be able to keep coming back and expect them to have our order done correctly. Just improve on making sure that our pizza is cooked well done and extra crispy. Overall, this is an enjoyable restaurant to go to for fine...
