The night crew very rude and unprofessional. This is not the first time this has happened! A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I went in at 8:25pm not knowing they close at 9pm. The worker seemed very annoyed, we looked at the closing time saw it closed at 9pm and left. I have been in the food and beverage industry for years and understand the frustration of the last few customers of the night. (I know, open until 9pm means they serve until 9pm) but I don't like that. We told the worker sorry and left due to the time and him doing closing duties. We then came back today around 7:25pm. only one other customer in there. Both workers seem to be very annoyed with us coming in and them having to do their jobs... as if we were an inconvenience. My boyfriend is a first responder, asked for the discount and just got very rude attitude from worker. I get everyone has bad days, but this is now two visits (same employees) that seem to not be happy about customers that come in. We will go to other firehouse subs going forward, seems like a regular problem at this location from the...
Read moreI just called the store (at 8:15am) on Stapley and the 60 in Mesa, AZ, to see what time I needed to call in a large order! I am getting lunch for all of the people at the place I did Physical Therapy at after having double knee replacement surgery this summer. So, I called just to see when to put the order in just hoping that someone would be there to answer that question....since they don't open till 10am! Well the guy who answered told me he would take my order right now and ensured me it would be ready by 11:15 which is when I need to pick them up! He could have just said, call back at 10 when we open, but he did not! It was a large order and he was very polite and professional....you need more employees like him. My wife and son and I eat at FH subs at least once a week because it gives her a break from cooking and we enjoy them so much while we watch a Ball Game on TV! KEEP IT UP FIREHOUSE....great food at a...
Read morePleasant sandwich shop. Light & airy, lots of soda fountain drinks to choose from. Roughly a dozen different sandwiches available in small, medium or large on white or wheat bread (also gluten free bread). Cash & credit cards accepted. Staff is friendly and service is quick.
Sandwich chain. More of an East-coast deli feel to some of their sandwiches than the other big sandwich chains offer. Meat is of a higher caliber than Subway or other places. Food is good but not necessarily memorably so. You won't regret eating here but you may not feel the need to go out of your way to come back. The Steamer and the Hero are both respectable, as is the steak & cheese. Served with a pickle. Combo options that are more extensive than most other sandwich shops (side salads, desserts, mac & cheese bowls, etc.).
Definitely worth while if you're in the area and looking for something a little different and...
