Fire alarm was going off for 45 min. During Wich time no one knew how to silence the alarm. Kitchen mishap triggered the alarm. Instead of notifying customers they kept drive through open... I am not aware of any calls being made to alarm company, fire department, or other managers. Fire department was not on site.
In fact to silence the alarm a customer that went through drive through, happened to be a NICET Certified Electrical and Fire Systems Engineer and provided the information on resetting the system.
This is a potentially dangerous situation to have no shift manager informed how to silence, validate if it was a false alarm or real, and reset if appropriate to do so after a positive all clear has been determined.
If this was not a life safety matter it would not be a big deal. Fortunately the cause was under control and silence and reset was required to bring the system back online.
I recommend very clear instructions be left on the panels front glass it interior in a conspicuous place for a SHIFT MANAGER to address, silence, investigate, and reset if appropriate.
In the event of an actual fire all unrequired staff should exit, any customers if inside should be asked to vacate the building first, staff should check bathrooms to ensure no one is left behind. Much of this is common sense I realize. However, individuals not familiar with, or trained in fire safety may not know exactly what to do, as evident in this case, and the cost of even a single human life is too high. Would you...
Read morewe have been customers of this mcdonals for a long time, but the last 6 times we have been, we have been served by a guy with long curly hair, thin, who has a very bad attitude, rude and other people who live in the area have said the same about him. The situation is that it's not only his bad attitude, but the last times we've gone for breakfast, even before 1pm, he says they can't do it anymore, because there are 20 minutes left or because there are 30 minutes left, or the last time he We waited for a long time to be served at the register and no one came, all the people who were in the line were upset because there was no one attending, until someone had to go to the kitchen for their food, when the person came out it was only to say that the breakfasts could not be made anymore because it was not long before 1pm, we asked for coffee and the same guy said that there was no milk, days before that, we ordered hamburgers and he himself told us that they did not have ketchup, I do not know what it happens to this mcdonals but if the same situation continues we are going to choose to go to others where they don't give us a bad attitude, where they do have things and where they can sell us a breakfast during their own hours. I thought it was necessary to leave this message so that the owner of the branch finds out if he doesn't know what...
Read moreYou have to give the employees credit for trying really hard to do a good job. I tried the self pay station. It took forever for the screen to read what I had selected. The lag time on this screen was awful. I finally got my order in. The machine instructed me to take a tent card, enter the card's number and told me that the order would be brought out to me. And so I waited and waited some more. No one came until an employee walked around calling out the contents of my order and asking who's it was. The tent card was obviously placed on my table. No effort was made to find the card number and then I was treated as if I was stupid for not coming up to the counter to collect my order when they called it out. They neither called out my tent card number nor brought my order to me as the self pay booth had instructed would happen. That was a sad dissapointment. Before I left, I over heard another customer asking about his order and was told it had been picked up by someone else. It had been stolen. From the way the employee talked , it sounded like this was not the first time it happened. So if you do visit this location, don't use the self pay, and after placing your order, stand near the counter, don't trust in customer service,...
