Got pizza here twice. Second time, my wife ordered online. After she clicked submit, she noticed the order had gone to a store in Oregon. First issue, web site is confusing. She called the Oregon store, they said that happens all the time, SO WHY DON'T THEY FIX IT? Guy in Oregon called the store in Mesa to give them our order. I went to pick it up and they asked if it was phone or internet order. Internet, so they guy says OK it's paid then (and it was). A minute or 2 later guy calls the name "Susan". Order is under my wife's name, Suzanne. I think about it and decide to ask if he meant to say Suzanne. He looks at me like I'm crazy and proceeds to give the pizzas to "Ariel", even through she doesn't think she ordered a mad dog pizza and a caspian pizza. Check with my wife and that's what we ordered, so I tell the guy that I think he just gave my pizza to somebody else. He says no, mine is about to go in the oven. It's 2:17, we were promised they would be ready at 2:15. While I'm texting my wife, Ariel comes in to return pizzas that weren't what she ordered. Guy calls me up and says our pizzas are in the oven but they did give our original pizzas to somebody else but they brought them back and I can have all 4 pizzas. Is that even legal? I'm not eating pizzas that some stranger has walked out of the store with. When my pizzas come out of the oven, guy mumbles "Sorry about the mixup". No compensation. Didn't even offer a free drink for the extra wait and inconvenience. Several bites of the pizza were chewy, like it was taken out of the oven too soon.
The 3 times that I talked to the guy, he would ask me a question and would misunderstand my answer. It's noisy in there so I started talking loud so he could hear me. He got a look on his face like he thought I was yelling at him because I was mad. Well, I was mad, but I was not yelling because of that. I was talking loudly because he obviously couldn't hear me.
The first time I was there was a pleasant experience. Even though I had shown up before they said my pizza would be ready, they offered me a drink while I waited. The pizza was good and cooked all the way through. The second visit was a nightmare. Their website is not user friendly but they blame the customer for that. The employees interfacing with the customers have a bad attitude. If they screw up your order, it's your tough luck and get out of my face. Not to worry. I'll never darken...
Read moreWhen we are at MOD and order, we love the pizza. Pick and delivery has been more of a challenge, but tonight topped it all. We ordered through Door Dash… it has limited options for requests. It has an option to add sauces and I thought it would be a great idea to try some of them. So, I received my pepperoni, sauce, mushroom pizza in a timely manner to find it was drenched in fig balsamic, buffalo sauce, and ranch. I was stupid to think that the person on the other side would not think that they should be on the side. My bad. That kind of thinking is a lot to ask of these days. It was so ridiculous that I did feel the need to call the MOD. I spoke w a very nice manager named Nathan. He was very understanding and tried to fix it in anyway he could. In the end, the staff is just doing things as they have been trained to them. So, in the end, MOD corporate and Door Dash need to get their act together.
If you’re still interested… this is kind of funny… I only ordered pizza this night because my husband had ordered Brooklyn V’s through Grub Hub. He had been obsessed watching his delivery in all different directions. We called the driver and she said there was too much traffic for our order, so she went on to other deliveries. I was worried she would never deliver it, so I ordered MOD as backup. Luckily, GH beat my MOD order by about 10 minutes, although it was an hour late and his BV’s pizza was awesome. So, in the end, MOD corporate and Door Dash need to get their...
Read moreI’m not one to complain but I have worked in the food industry before and this location either needs new management and employees or to be closed all together. I have gone to this location multiple times and every time it gets worse. The store is rarely clean. The staff is absolutely terrible, they would rather talk with each other rather than the customers. It seems like your training process was non existent. There was clearly a new girl working there and no one was helping her. She had no clue what came on any pizza didn’t know how long to keep the pizza in the oven. And the other two employees I did see could care less to help us or even help the new employee. They only stood around and talked to each other. If they did do something it was at a snails pace. I’m not sure of your dress code for your restaurants but I don’t think pajamas should be permitted to wear to work. One employee looked like the got out of bed and walked into work. This location is absolutely terrible. They forgot to put something on my pizza that I DID ask for when I received the pizza and noticed it was not on there. I asked for it on the side. The employee tried to say well it doesn’t come with it on it. After I clearly told them to put it on there. He was so disgusted that he had to move and grab something. Like I said either fire everyone and start new or close the whole store because these people are doing you no favors as being the face of your company. I would love to hear...
