First time going to this restaurant and it was not the best service or experience. It was a party of five and the reservations was made a few weeks in advance just to be safe and it was on a Saturday at 6:30pm. We arrived a few minutes early and checked in and was told about 10 minutes until our table would be ready. Instead it was about 30 to 45 minutes until we were seated even after we asked them how much longer it would be after waiting past 10 minutes. Other parties arrived way after us and was getting seated besides us. Finally being seated, which we were crammed in to a corner table where NO AC was blowing in the area and we were all sweating already from this Arizona heat. Waited about 12 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order and after that we went to the salad bar and already started our meal and half way into our meal no drinks ever arrive. Finally another lady came by and asked us if drinks were already ordered and we said yes and we still haven’t gotten our drinks, we only ordered water and three drinks from the bar and yet nothing came for about 40 minutes. After receiving our drinks we never seen anyone come by to refill our water or asks us how we were doing or even ask for a second order from the bar. Also the flow of the meat being served was so unorganized and did not have a good flow whatsoever. And we kept having the same repetitive meat being served to us and did not get many variations at all. Plus some of the meat that came to us was not hot at all just warm. The plus on this is the salad bar, I enjoyed the many varieties that they offered. But that is the only good thing about this particular place. I would not be recommending this place to anyone I know, I would recommend going to another well known Brazilian steak house with better service for their customers.
Update After posting our first time experience here, the general manager and I communicated and I was impressed with how much they care and want to correct and improve their customers dining experience with their establishment. My family and I decided to give it another try, and we all felt it was a much more pleasant this time, granted we went on a Sunday evening. They even accommodate to us bringing in our stroller due to that we have an infant this time, and they were kindly enough to remove a chair at our table to make room for our stroller. This time our drinks came to us in less time then before and this time we had many choices and varieties of meat that came by and we were very pleased, on top of that it was hot/ warm and not cold. And the salad bar was very well maintained and all of the sides were fully stock. Also we ordered desserts this time and it was delicious and able to see the dessert display prior to ordering it gives a good visual on how big or it looks beforehand is a great concept. We appreciate that they do care on customer experience and pays attention to customer satisfaction so we will definitely be returning to this...

So I was told by a friend that I had to try this awesome Brazilian Steakhouse, "Rodizio Grill" in Mesa. Till now, I'd never been to a restaurant like this. Let me say that this place is absolutely amazing!
I walked in shortly after they opened on Tuesday at about 5:30 and was happy to see that it wasn't very busy at all. I was promptly seated and my server, Annemarie, was quick to attend my table. She was extremely pleasant and very helpful in explaining to me how everything worked. They use a red and green block to let the meat servers (called Gauchos) know when you want meats offered to you. Green means you want food offered to you while red means you are taking a break or are done. If you lay it on its side, it shows your server that you are ready for dessert!
I visited the all you can eat salad bar to get some starters and make sure I had something to snack on between meats. The Gaucos wasted no time showing up and were quick to get my experience off to a great start! Huge shout out to all my Gauchos: Tristen, Kevin, Jacob, and Johany. You guys made this experience both amazing and memorable! While I tried almost everything (no fish or lamb) there was one thing that stood out far above all the other amazing meats... and it wasn't even meat! They brought out glazed pineapple called, "Abacaxi" and it was absolutly delicious! Pair that with the ham and it's game on!
Almost everything I had was an amazing experience, but as I was blissfully enjoying my dinner, Annamarie stopped by and dropped off a complimentary side dish called Bananas Fritas. It's basically fried bananas, not plantains, but actual bananas, with a caramelized brown sugar glaze... these things are to die for! SOO GOOD!!!
After finishing a 1 hour marathon of meat, pineapple, and fried bananas, I spoke to Jacqueline, the manager about all the amazing food and flavors I had just been privileged to enjoy and she explained to me that they are very Veteran friendly and offer 20% off ever Monday on what they call Military Monday's as well as offering 10% off to veterans any other time.
This was truly an experience like none other and while it will cost you about 40 dollars per person during dinner if you are not enjoying their wonderful bar, it is well worth the price as everything is all you can eat except dessert! I had way to much food to even bother with dessert so that wasn't even a concern for me. I recommend coming hungry to get the most bang for your buck!
I'd like to personally thank the following for an amazing visit:
Server- Annamarie Gauchos- Tristen, Kevin, Jacob, Johany Manager- Jaqueline
I look forward to...
Read moreWe went today to the Rodizio Grill. We had never been there before and hadn't experienced a Brazilian Style Steakhouse previously. Our son gave us a gift card for Christmas and we decided to try it out. I have to say, we were both pleasantly surprised.
The format and layout of the restaurant is a casual but nice place, with small tables and nice lighting. There is no music playing which is very nice for people that actually want to talk while eating dinner. The staff is quick and attentive and kind. Since we were obvious newbies, the staff was kind and explained how it worked.
There is no menu to choose from other than a drink menu. The food options are simply either a) Salad bar (priced at 24/person) or what they call b) Full Rodizio, which means you get not only the all you can eat salad bar, but all you can eat meats (44/person).
We went Full Rodizio and enjoyed on trip to the salad bar before turning over a little wooden cubed device that indicated we wanted any meat offering to stop by our table. The salad bar is excellent. Lots of options, and in my opinion worth the money. I didn't go back to the salad bar since I wanted to enjoy the meat selections. Although I did get several of the soft dinner rolls from the salad bar, which were surprisingly hit and soft.
The servers would come by and offer their meat on a rotisserie to be sliced onto your plate. Beef (lots of steaks), poultry, lamb and pork. I enjoyef eating as much beef as possible, but the chicken was also very tender. The pork was less tender and juicy, so I opted out of more of that. We didn't have lamb offered to us for some reason.
That said, the beef was really what I was interested in, and I had lots of it. Tri-tip, peppercorn beef, and more. All of it was good, but the peppcorn beef was brilliant. Loved it.
While this place isn't Ruth's Chris, it is it's own interesting and tasty experience, and I liked it.
If you have a chance to go to Rodizio Grill, I encourage you to go, and if possible save your calories for the day to go to this...
