Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Metter

My husband and I stopped by on our way back home in Albany, Georgia from Charleston, SC. Once home, about 3 and half hours later, I discovered I had left my purse at the Metter DQ. I called and spoke with Lawanda. She said they had my purse! I called back several times asking lots of questions. Lawanda was always pleasant and patient. I also spoke to the Manager, Nicole who was also very pleasant. Neither knew who turned in my purse. I asked Nicole if she would mind checking to see if all of my valuables were still in my purse. She checked and indicated everything was still there! She said she would secure it safely in her office until I arrived.

My husband and I jumped back in the truck and headed back to Metter. We arrived after the dining room had closed. Lawanda stopped mopping to unlock the door and Nicole got my purse for me. Both were again just as pleasant as could be.

Thank you to the person who turned in my purse. And thank you to Lawanda and Nicole. There are still good people in...

Ok I was travelling and in need of a stop. I thought I would get a hotdog at dairy queen, since I have not visited for a long time. As soon I walked it there was this horrible smell. I do not know it it was backed up septic or if it is well water, the bathroom seemed like it has not been touched since it was created. Not saying it was dirty, but very worn out. There were several people in there, so I guess it is the place in town. I went to get my hot dog, but as I was standing in line I realized that there was no way I could eat with that smell. So, I left without eating anything. :( I think if the place gets a little TLC and you get an aerator for whatever is the cause of the smell, you might get more people travelling in and a fun night out place for the towns people. Gave you a 3 star because of the amount of people there.

The staff was very rude and and my vanilla shake had chunks of chocolate and heathe bar in it .. I'm just glad I'm not allergic to chocolate or things would be alot worse .. I'm not a fan of chocolate so it ruined my shake .. also they cant even count change correctly .. even when it it printed on the recite and when u tell them they want to get even more rude and explain to u that they r right .. until you tell them to read what it says on the recite .. wow don't plan on going there anytime soon .. we also waited for over 20mins just to order .. then they tell us to order .. I started and get told hold on .. another 5 to 7 mins later they say welcome to dq .. really .. and it wasn't busy at all .. I do understand problems happen and things come up but really .....
