Le Basilic Miami — Restaurant in Miami Beach

I hate to be writing this review as I was so excited to try this place to celebrate an anniversary but the restaurant is new and you can definitely tell. The place is beautiful but the food was just okay for the price point. We shared 3 plates and a side and paid close to $300. The hot food was cold when it got to our table and the meat was not cooked properly or to the desired doneness (felt like it had been thrown in the oven to heat up while they finished the rest of the meal). I felt bad for the staff, there were very short staffed, 2 waiters and 3 runners for almost 40 tables. At one point I even had to reach to the service cart and pour myself some water. Not a big deal but for the price point you would expect better service. As soon as we were done with our food we asked for the check, skipping desert, its wasn't until after we paid that they apologized for being short staffed and offered a glass of champagne which we politely declined as we were already done with our meal. The bad reviews are not lying. We came here Saturday night excited to try a new restaurant opening and left before we even had a chance to eat. We made our reservation on time and were seated for 20 minutes without a server ever greeting us or offering water. At some point I noticed the hostess walking around and caught her attention to let her know we were ready to order. We thought she would come back with a waiter but we waited another 10 minutes without having spoken to a server. As a frequent diner this was extremely off putting and not worthwhile. We ended up getting up and heading to a different restaurant so that we could actually eat. On our way out I kindly mentioned to our hostess that we had never been greeted and she seemed very apathetic. Beautiful French restaurant in the Sunset Harbour neighborhood. It has a stunning garden for outdoor seating that is super romantic and intimate. Step inside a truly chic, elegant, and modern french restaurant. The bar is stunning and offer full bar service. The vibe is very romantic with the candle lights in the evening, and the tables are all set beautifully. The menu is very creative and diverse with great options for everyone. Go online and view their menu. It will make your mouth water. The salmon with creamy herbs was extraordinary! Big portion perfectly cooked and quite flavorful. Desserts were amazing. Try the Crepes Suzette, which are not only delicious but also put on a show! Service was lovely but lagged a little even though it was a fairly quiet evening. There is no valet parking.
