Everything is pretty good. The fajitas half chicken and half steak is good. I would say the only thing is the upcharge is quite expensive for having a mix between chicken and steak since I wanted half and half. They should not charge over $5 for that, if I am not getting a larger portion just half and half. The server did communicate that to me, which is good.
The atmosphere is nice, and especially how clean the place is. There is a random tree in the restaurant that is the only thing that is kind of random and inconsistent with the atmosphere. Something you would find outdoors, have never really experienced that in a restaurant indoors. The chairs are a bit low to the ground, and you have to reach in order to grab something. It is not aligned with table, so you just have to keep reaching over.
The service was good, the waiter checked in on us, and asked us if everything was okay. She did not know the menu exactly, and would just point to something when asked a question. I do not really care which is why I gave a 4/5 for service, but just knowing the menu is important in the Hospitality Industry, so you can provide great service and be able to sell those items.
The food was good, just a bit stingy on the chips provided, keep on asking for more chips is a bit frustrating, I think it should be by number of people in your party, especially if you are spending more then $10 on it. Portions were good for the guacamole, just a bit salty but not too bad. The fajitas were really good, just wish they provided more tortillas, they only provided 4-5 which is not sufficient for a...
Read moreMy friends and I visited this restaurant and over all had a great experience. The atmosphere was nice, food was fantastic and the service was great. However the whole experience was ruined right at the end of the evening. We didn't leave them a substantial enough tip because we didn't have enough money to leave as a tip for them and all of a sudden their attitude changed. They didn't want whatever we could give them and ran after us to give it back and the woman who gave the money back said it's not needed, handed it to us like it was an offence to them to give such a small amount and walked off quite rudely. Also my friend had a chipped drinking glass which cut her lip and aside from an apology and a new glass and drink she wasn't offered so much as a free drink or meal. We had to ask ourselves if they were going to deduct anything from the bill and got a 10% discount on the bill and that's it. It's a shame because we really did enjoy our time there but unfortunately tipping seems to be a bigger deal to them and in the end it just felt like they were being nice just to get a tip. Where we come from you don't make anyone feel bad for what they can give and especially as giving a tip is at the customers...
Read moreThis place was awesome! I believe our server was marcel and he was phenomenal! Fun and entertaining and so nice! The food was awesome! We started with a sampler platter (not sure what the name is!), flautas, guacamole (they make it right in front of you!) and elote. The quesadilla was the most disappointing thing of the night as it was just Tortola and American cheese but the rest was amazing! ELOTE was good but for one I think the one from plomo on miracle mile was better. Not sure what it was. We ended up getting 11 tacos (pastor, carnitas, chorizo, camaron, Carnegie asada, salmón), Chile verde, puntas de filetes a la mexicana, and a fajita for 6 people. The tacos are small so they say 3 per person. My absolute favorite was the chile verde! Amazing spice and flavor! The Black beans were well seasoned and the rice was nice. They do more traditional corn small tortillas than the flour big ones Americans are used to so heads up! I also got the hola frída margarita with cinnamon and tamarindo but didn't like it. The Polanco drink was awesome! It's so cute and has a paleta in it! Overall we spent about 500 as a group which I think is a great price considering all the was ordered and how amazing of a...
