I’ve been to maman a total of 4 times and each time has been such a bad experience. I’m writing this review to see if something can be done because I do like coming here for the food and coffee even though the staff is not friendly. My first time at maman my boyfriend asked for brown sugar and was told by the waitress that he can go get it at the counter. My second time at maman I came with my two friends and our waitress never checked up on us and I tried to get her attention a couple of times and she wouldn’t budge. I guess she had to attend to her other customers who seemed more important. My third time coming was with my parents who came to town and same thing no one ever came to check on us to see how we were doing or if our food was ok. Fourth time coming was back with my boyfriend we stood at the hostess stand & a bunch of waitresses kept passing by I tried to get their attention and none of them paid attention to us. Finally an older gentlemen came and sat us down at a table we saw one of the waitresses look visibly upset that he sat us down but we didn’t pay mind to it. We waited 15 minutes until we finally said something because a couple that sat at the corner within the minute were greeted served water and asked if they wanted a drink. Meanwhile us sitting maybe 4 feet away from them haven’t been asked anything in the 15 minutes we’ve been seated. I got the older gentlemen’s attention and he took our order. He was the only one who came to check up on us to make sure we were okay. These woman should really learn what hospitality is. I really hope this changes but it doesn’t seem like it will since it’s been like...
Read moreMe and my friends came here to try their coffee because we heard that it’s really good! The girl who was taking our order was very rude and looked annoyed as we were ordering even though we were smiling and saying thank you. I ordered the iced golden latte and it tasted extremely strong (tasted like seasoning), I get turmeric lattes a lot so I’m used to the flavor but this one had wayyyy too much in it. Because of this I asked if it’s possible to re make it and she said no and the girl next to me was having the same problem with her drink and they were refusing to re make it. This is really odd to me as every coffee shop I’ve ever went to in my life will remake the drink if you don’t like it. I work in the food and beverage industry and we are taught to re make drinks for unhappy customers. The girl next to me had another worker call the manager and the manager told them to re make her drink. Even after this the worker told me she can’t remake my drink but they were remaking the girl next to me?? I kept on insisting and they finally remade it after 5 minutes of back and forth. Anyways I neverrr leave bad reviews but the worker was so incredibly rude I had to. They ended up remaking my drink after I insisted 5 times it was actually ridiculous. It wasn’t even busy so I don’t understand why it was such a big deal to re make a drink that takes 1 minute to make. (I wouldn’t have asked them to re make it if it wasn’t busy). The mocha I got was really good but the service made this place a really bad...
Read moreI had such a great experience at Sunset Harbor’s Maman Coffee Shop, and it was all thanks to Zoe and Jorge!
Zoe was working the register when I walked in, and she was incredibly helpful and kind. I was torn between a few pastries (they all looked amazing), but Zoe patiently walked me through the options, pointing out her favorites and giving thoughtful suggestions. With her help, I landed on a buttery croissant that was absolutely perfect — flaky on the outside and soft inside. She also helped me choose an almond milk latte, which turned out to be a fantastic pairing.
Jorge made my latte, and wow — he nailed it. Smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced, with just the right amount of almond flavor coming through. He even did a little latte art, which was such a nice touch. You can really tell he cares about the craft.
The whole experience felt personal and welcoming. Zoe and Jorge made my morning, and now I’m officially a regular. Can’t wait...
