My husband and I have never been to Dewey's but we have always heard such great things. Yesterday we decided to give it a try for lunch. Although, we both wanted to take the healthier route with a salad, once we saw the pizza we couldn't help ourselves. We had heard everything they serve (pizza, calzones, salads) is amazing. We decided to split a 17 inch in half to try two different specialty pizzas, and then take the rest home for leftovers. We tried the Dr. Dre and the Ryan's Inferno. However, when our food arrived we realized it was the wrong size. We asked our waitress and she was very quick to address the issue with the manager. The manager came over and apologized, as well as had the kitchen make us a new 17 in pizza, let us keep the one we had, and only charge up for the smaller pizza. He was very friendly, and we were really impressed with their means of correcting the issue.
Additionally, the wait staff is great. We were never waiting on anything, because everyone was coming around to take care of us. But, not in that annoying way where no one leaves you alone. If they saw you needed water, dishes cleared, your bill taken to be cashed out, they were on it.
Best part of all-- the pizza was GREAT. We often go to Spinoza's because we love pizza, but still want a nicer atmosphere for dates and dinner nights now. I feel like Dewey's was a little more reasonably priced, and just as good! For future meals, if I am spending money on any kind of carry out pizza, I'd rather get my money's worth at Dewey's.
Great food. Great Service....
Read moreWe've been going here since they opened. Have loved their pizzas and calzones for years. Recently the service has gone way down hill. A few weeks ago we ordered a few calzones (3), when we got home 2 of the three were completely wrong (nobody wanted them). Called Deweys and they tried to get us to drive back (25 minutes each way) to pick up the correct order. Nope
More recently we attended a family event and were rushing to get to another event with some relatives visiting from out of town. I called Deweys while en route to place a takeout order of ($70) worth of calzones for carry out (the idea was to pick them up, have a quick bite and hurry to the next event). We were told they would be ready at 5:20 (ordered them at 4:40). Now I phoned in this order, because (1) I was driving, (2) didn't want to mess with credit cards, and (3) because they can pull up your past orders and I wanted to reorder what we had before. When I arrived at 5:30, I waited about 5 minutes before I asked what the status of the order was. I was told that "due to the size of the order (typical cost of Deweys takeout), they decided not to start them until I arrived". We are repeat customers and never had issues like this. Needless to say I had to cancel the order to avoid being late to the next event. Everybody went hungry and I had to hear "I told you so" from everyone who wanted "Chick fil A" instead. We wont be visiting again...
Read moreFirst time at this location, but my husband and I do frequent the locations in the Columbus area. We were greeted immediately upon walking in. But it was 9:00 p.m. on a Monday so I think only one other set of customers? We were told to find a seat anywhere we could find silverware so we did. I waitress came over very quickly and waited on us. She was friendly, attentive on refills, and checking to make sure that our food was good. There was a guy that brought us our food, and he's the same one that brought us our check. He brought one check for both of us even though we told our waitress that we were on two separate checks. So my cousin told him it needed to be split up, and he walked back over and asked us how to split it. We didn't share food or anything, he's the one that brought us our food? So we literally had to say to put what she ordered on her check, and what I ordered on my check. It's just odd and a little off-putting that one, they didn't listen about the checks, but number two that they thought we were together on one check. We are two middle-aged women cousins, guess he thought maybe we were an item? Anyway he was nice enough and he split it up and thanked us our business. I got the calzone that I always get and it was delicious! My cousin loved her salad and she tried a gluten-free pepperoni pizza and she said it was good. The restaurant is in a great area with outdoor seating and a...
