Noodles and Company — Restaurant in Miami Township

I normally have a good experience at this restaurant but on the evening of 02/25/24 I had a terrible experience. It started off that I ordered Pad Thai and was told that they didn’t have all the ingredients to make that dish so I ordered Alfredo montamore with Parmesan chicken. I placed an order for Mac and cheese and potstickers as well as a fountain drink. I placed my order at 6:11pm and waited for it to be done. I filled my drink and the soda did not have carbonation. I told the you man at the front who told the manager and I was told he did not have time to deal with it. I replied that I would like a refund for my 3 dollar plus drink. I was given a refund and checked on the status of my order and was told they were still working on it. After a little more time passed I went and checked on my order again and was told that they could not make Alfredo noodles. At that point after being there for 30 minutes or more without anyone explaining anything I asked for a full refund. The young man at the counter apologized but the rest of the workers including the manager thought it was funny. The manager never spoke with me at all. This place was disappointing. I was excited to eat here because there were so many things on the menu that sounded good, but I don't think I'll return to try them. I ordered the small bowl based on the size of the bowls they had on display, but when they got to the table, the bowl was only 2/3 full. The zoodles were pretty good but there was way more salty chicken than necessary and not really enough zoodles and vegetables. Upon closer inspection of the menu, my partner and I realized that the small bowls are generally only a dollar less than the large bowls. This was irritating because if I'd realized that the bowls weren't filled, I could have ordered the large bowl for basically the same price. Ugh. The service was super friendly but now I'm just cranky and still hungry and wishing I'd gone to either Five Guys or Panera Bread.

Edit two hours later: we're stopping early for dinner because we're so hungry. Downgraded another star since we effectively paid $25...

I ordered Noodles and Co. through DoorDash and it said it was going to be here in about 32 minutes. Then after an additional 20 minutes, I received a notification saying my order was cancelled because the driver was unable to fulfill my order. I was already frustrated at this. I re-entered my order and everything was good to go. Food came in a reasonable amount of time and the driver was very friendly. We opened our containers of food and my boyfriend’s pasta was filled MAYBE halfway (he ordered a regular not a small portion), my penne Rosa had MAYBE 2 pieces of spinach. I was charged a dollar extra to my order for extra sauce to receive MAYBE a tablespoon worth of it, AND I was charged extra for mushrooms to have MAYBE 3 mushrooms in the entire dish of pasta!
