Five Guys — Restaurant in Miami Township

Huge shout out to Grant and his team for exceptional, above, and beyond service! I’ve been a little homesick this week. Being a California native, Ohio transplant, and lots of great memory’s at a famous burger place on the west coast, Grant served up not only delicious food, but I would have to say provided one of my top 5 best customer service experience’s I ever had! Thanks guys for 5 diamond hospitality and such a great vibe in your store. I think blink 182 (not positive) was on the radio and some singing and surfer vibes happening in the open air kitchen in Ohio was just a magical, much needed moment. Every time I go into this location I remember how much I love it there. P.S that famous west coast burger place pales in comparison to 5 guys burgers. I am rather critical of service. Having worked in management with some of the most renowned hospitality companies in the world, I truly appreciated tonight’s experience. Five Guys, I hope you know what a gem you have in Grant! I can only imagine how many job offers he gets weekly from his customers!

Wow! A completely casual burger joint, with THE best burgers ever. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, not realizing it's a two-hander double-decker with melted cheese and toppings of your choice. My husband and I ordered a fry to share. Ok, you could've shared the BAG, yes bag, of fries with four others easily. You do get the serving cup, but the whole order is given out in a paper bag, like a small paper grocery bag. The bottom was filled with fries, and they're slightly crispy on the outside and steamy on the inside. It's a little more expensive than your typical fast-food places, but you get sooo much more. I told my husband I would go there for a burger before an over-rated steakhouse any day. He very much agreed. I can go on about how good the food is, but I always try to comment on the staff. These guys and the girl that took our order were sharp. They were fast, curteous, worked as a team, and were focused on their job. I was disappointed that at this location only 1/2 of those preparing the food wore masks correctly. One had the mask below his mouth, and one server didn't have a mask on at all. Two others had their noses uncovered. Additionally, the atmosphere of the staff seemed like that of a high school boys locker room rather than a restaurant. Several behaved unprofessionally. My burger was a sloppy mess and I threw more than half of it away because it was disgusting. How difficult can it be to put ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on a burger without making the bun be completely soggy and the burger falling apart. I would not feel comfortable going back to this location again based upon the poor service and awful food quality. Recommend this franchise do better with screening those you hire, or at least have a responsible adult supervisor present, or else you will be losing much more business than mine...
