I recently discovered this restaurant, and I absolutely love it! It’s located in the heart of downtown Miami, making it very easy to find. The place isn’t very big, but it’s beautifully decorated in an Indonesian style. I really love the sculptures placed throughout the restaurant. In addition, there are a couple of tables outside. The menu is extensive, offering a rich selection of different types of food. So far, I’ve been to the restaurant three times. Twice, I ordered the Roll Combo, which was delicious both times - I really loved the fresh taste of the fish. On my third visit, I decided to try the Chicken Curry Plate, which includes a portion of an Asian salad. I was very satisfied with both the salad and the curry. By the way, my chicken curry initially came with mostly dark meat, but I asked if next time they could make it with only white meat, and the answer was positive. So, if you prefer white meat like I do, don’t hesitate to ask the waiter for a modification. Speaking of service, the lady waitress who works there during the daytime (I saw only her working all three times I visited) is extremely nice! The prices on the menu are reasonable. Any main meal, which comes in a very generous portion, costs around $20. The only downside of the restaurant for me is the strong food smell that lingers on my clothes after each visit. I believe this is because the restaurant is small, and the kitchen is located close to the tables. If you want to avoid smelling like food, you might want to grab a table outside. The restaurant accepts all major credit cards and Apple Pay, which is a big plus. I absolutely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for great Asian food. And I’m definitely looking forward to coming back to try and...
Read moreWhen you see so many positive reviews about a place and the food they cook, it's for a reason. I was in the area and trying to stay away from the torrential downpour in Miami and found myself literally 85ft from this place. All it took was a couple of pictures anc a few reviews to convince me to set foot in this establishment. First of all the staff is super attentive and friendly from the second you walk in which is always a plus. It was quiet and empty because it was around 11:50am and like I mentioned before it was pouring like crazy. I was kinda fixed on this Bento box type lunch and another dish with barbecued eel but the waiter recommended this one: Nasi Goreng Spesial. Let me tell you that this is easily a Bento box to share because the amount of food and portions required an appetite I don't quite have yet. Let me break down the dish for you: Special stir fried rice with a fried egg on top, Rendang which a spicy shredded meat, very very tender, Opor Ayam is chicken cooked in coconut milk from Indonesia, steamed vegetables, pickled carrot and cucumber, sliced tomato and mix crackers. This dish was so delicious and packed with different yet harmonious flavors, but I couldn't finish it. Next time I want to try the Belut Bumbu Kecap which is barbeque eel on top of steamed rice on a bed of vegetables. This place is cash only so make sure you have some with you but if you don't there is an ATM about 100ft across the street inside a corner convenience store so no worries there. I recommend this place to anyone that appreciates...
Read moreThis is the first Indonesian restaurant that has Been recomended by my old college friend that now leave in philadelphia, when i tell her i miss Indonesian food since I move to Miami. Then i browsing in google and see their website, people good reviews and I take my husband to come here in the weekend. I’m not surprise anymore because I already helped by previous review and photos by others. It is a small place but when you get inside you can see the decoration, pictures and things about Bali. Nice feeling for me. We ask the waiter what is their recomended food, then we order Laksa and Nasi Rames dan Coconut water. The waiter is very polite and look busy because he only alone. The weird thing for me is because they also serve sushi that i’m not interesting to try, since i came here for craving Indonesian foods. The taste is super duper delicious. I thought my mom is the most awesome chef, hehehe. But their coconut gravy, their beef rendang is superb. Thick of coconut milk, rich of flavors and perfectly cook. Sometimes my husband also buy for take away in the weekend. For us, 1 portion is enough for two. They give many of differences thing in one menu which for us is too much. Like when in Lebaran Iedul Fitri, I come here to have Lontong Cap Gomeh, it has beef rendang, Chicken Curry. Yummy but i can not finish it alone. And they need to improve the payment method since they keep only...
