The moment you step inside, youāre greeted with vibrant color in the ceiling Yet despite its bold palette, the restaurant manages to retain a cozy atmosphere: with warm accent lighting create little pockets of calm where you can relax and settle in for a long, leisurely meal.
From the outset, the staff make you feel right at home. Our server, Leslie, stood out immediately: bright-eyed, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us navigate the menu. She took the time to explain the dish components, offered tasting suggestions, and checked in regularly to top off our water and ensure every request was met no matter how small. I was particularly impressed when she carefully packed our leftovers into containers and neatly labeled the bags so nothing spilled on the drive home. Itās rare to encounter service that feels both efficient and warmly personal; Leslie managed it with ease.
As for the food, it lives up to the hype. We started with the signature barbecue platter, and the beef was tender, infused with smoky undertones that werenāt overpowering. The grilled chicken, while slightly drier than Iād prefer, was rescued by a trio of house-made sauces which added both moisture and depth to every bite. The cilantro-infused rice was light yet flavorful, each grain perfectly separated and brightened by a hint of citrus. Accompanying the main courses was a complimentary soupa that offered a delightful taste.
Beyond individual dishes, what really elevates this restaurant is the thoughtful attention to detail: Every element feels considered and crafted to enhance the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, this spot is a true Miami gem vibrant, welcoming, and consistently delicious. Whether youāre a local looking for a new go-to hangout or a visitor eager to sample the cityās dynamic food scene, youāll find plenty to love here. Make a reservation, ask for Leslie if you can, and come hungry you wonāt be disappointed. Iāll certainly be returning on my next trip...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy son and I were in town from Ohio and I had read about this restaurant, despite the location it was easy to park and parking was affordable. Fernando was our server, and I was excited as Iād read many reviews about him. I left a 30% tip, if that tells you anything. Fernando is polite, pleasant, and a prince of tact. Heās also incredibly handsome and well groomed. If I were a younger and single woman, I would crush on him! The establishment is clean, cleverly decorated, all staff were pleasant and friendly, and the restrooms were spotless.
Now, the food. We ordered wings, macaroni and cheese, rotisserie chicken, and wok. Oh, and passion fruit cheesecake. This was a massive amount of food for two people, but we were in town a few days and we brought our leftovers to the hotel room. The food was spectacular, and Iām quite the foodie. The smoky, sweet but not super sweet wing sauce is the stuff of death bed meals and I highly suggest ordering these wings, if only for the sauce. They were hot, crispy and meaty. The dressing tasted homemade. The macaroni was the smokiest and cheesiest Iāve ever had. It also has sausage! The rotisserie chicken was beyond perfect, seasoned and juicy, no salt or pepper was required at the table as everything was perfectly prepared, seasoned, and presented. We had rice, which is obviously cold prepared and was soft, crunchy, and delicious. The meats in the wok were tender and simply divine.
Honestly, if this place was near me in Ohio I would eat there weekly. Reasonable prices and outstanding food, service, and atmosphere.
If youāre on the fence, go for the cheesecake at least. Itās so refreshing, sweet, and creamy. Itās seriously addictive. Go tonight and ask...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePollos and Jarras is a sister company of CVI.CHE. Our party of 13 luckily got a table pretty quickly for lunch without a reservation on a Sunday. Overall, we had a great experience. Food was delicious and the ambiance of the place is very trendy and decorated with lots of little knick knacks on the ceiling and walls. Our server Christopher was very attentive, helpful, and a good sales pitcher since we ended up ordering more things that we intended.
Chris suggested that we try the ceviche trio and our group thought that what he was talking about was the Trilogy de Ceviches ($39). At first, we ordered only 2 for the group since we just all wanted a bite of it. He suggested we get 3 for the table and we said, sure. We ended up being served the Ceviche Threesome market price and EACH ONE cost $129. We were definitely surprised when we got the check. To be fair, the ceviche was very good and they served larger portions including a good chunk of lobster. But just be sure you know exactly what youāre ordering.
The other items ordered were: -1 Pollo A La Brasa ($29): rotisserie chicken, tender meat. Have to eat with the green sauce (thereās a whole platter of sauce bottles on the table). Comes with rice and fries.
-Carne Asada ($29): 8oz churasco with chimichurri, served with plantains and Lambayeque rice which was deliciousā has a cilantro taste.
-Quattro Leches for dessert: have to get this, it was so good that my husband ended up coming back to order this to-go.
Overall, Iām glad that our group was able to try this place and all the delicious food it had to offer, despite the higher price and our situation with the ceviches. Iād suggest making a reservation because it definitely got busier throughout the time...
