I feel compelled to share my recent experience at Animal Cracker, not to harm their reputation, but to alert fellow pet owners. On August 24th, 2023, I entrusted my cat, Saint, to their care for his routine grooming. Previous visits had been flawless, with Saint always receiving top ratings on their behavioral scale and endless compliments from all of the staff.
However, this visit turned into a nightmare. I never received a call to collect Saint; I had to initiate contact. When I arrived, Saint was brought out to me in distress, struggling to breathe and regrettably, vomiting fluid. The staff didn’t notice the condition Saint was in. I ended up running out of the business rushing Saint to emergency. This led to heartbreaking visits to the vet, and tragically, a few weeks later, Saint passed away from heart failure at just four years old.
This experience has been incredibly traumatic. It's devastating to lose your pet, but even more so, to discover that the trust I had placed in this establishment was misplaced. Emergencies can happen, but what shook me most was the realization that I couldn't rely on them to promptly seek medical help for Saint let alone it be noticed by them.
I can't fathom how long he endured this condition while he was in their care. Had I not called, he would have passed away under their care. This review isn't meant to tarnish their name, but to emphasize a crucial issue that could have been handled differently. Our pets are family, and Saint, sadly, was not treated as such.
I've reached out to the company, but unfortunately, my attempts to communicate with the owner have gone unanswered now. It's disheartening to witness this lack of professionalism and empathy within their business.
I sincerely hope that my account serves as a cautionary tale and that no one else has to endure such heartache. Our pets deserve the best care, and I implore Animal Cracker to reevaluate their practices to prevent such incidents...
Read moreI can’t believe I was still taking my dogs to this place. Every time I bring them they shake like crazy, I thought they just didn’t like being groomed. This time, I decided to come check the reviews (the friend who recommended this place also stopped using it for a bad experience I hope he shares here). After seeing the reviews about the treatment to the dogs AND the business owner to employees and customers, as well as the odd pricing, I asked about the price for grooming each of my dogs. The owner was charging $10 extra, which I asked about (I would always just pay and not inquire about the price given). This man got so mad after I just pointed to the prices listed on the wall. I just asked what was the reason, and he said “because I determined so”, I ask “what made you “determine” that?”, he continued to say “because I say so”, literally screaming to me, furious, extremely disrespectfully. I can’t wait to see his response to this review, as it seems he always changes the story when replying to the bad reviews people have left about him. Really curious to see what he comes up with about my experience today, such a joke.
I can’t imagine how much money he’s taken from me because “he determined so”, and I can’t believe I ignored my dogs’ signs. I was in another city for three months and the dog I took with me would even get excited to see the guy who groomed her. I feel so upset just thinking about the treatment they must have received there all this time, not mentioning how much time my dogs have had to stay there on a scheduled grooming. It’s been times where it’s been +4 hrs after their appointment time for them to be ready (2 small dogs).
Funny enough, the girl they currently have as a receptionist (which always changes, no wonder why..) was also rude and I walked to the store to her, rolling her eyes while on a call that seemed to be a regular scheduling.

My dog's food was not delivered to my door as promised but rather dumped under the lobby front desk (see photo), leaving it exposed and vulnerable to theft. This unacceptable delivery practice, compounded by their website's lack of clear delivery policy information, ignited a serious dispute with my building manager, who held me responsible for the mishandled delivery. I contacted the business owner to address the problem and respectfully inform him I would no longer be a customer; his response was appalling. Instead of offering a simple apology or attempting to rectify the situation, he resorted to shouting and stating that 'free delivery' justified his decision not to deliver to my door. Regrettably, this isn't an isolated incident. Due to my cancer, I'm physically unable to transport the dog food from the lobby to my apartment. I mentioned my health condition to the owner when this happened in the past, and he never advised me that he wouldn't deliver to my door. I have had times delivered to my door. Does it depend on his mood? Lastly, and in a desperate attempt to deflect blame, he absurdly claimed his delivery person waited 20 minutes for the front desk staff when a simple elevator ride would have delivered the food to my door in a fraction of that time. The owner's complete disregard, lack of empathy, shouting, and poor customer service, culminating in him hanging up on me, is a testament to his blatant incompetence and carelessness for customers.
