Miami Eats | Perfect Afternoon Tea Spot for Shopping

Leaving this review as a long time customer in hopes that an owner or someone sees it and takes action. I’m a grove local and have been going for years. We went from going 2-3x a week to maybe 2x a month. It’s too much inconsistency. The biggest problem is the quality and the price. The prices have just become insane, even when you compare it to any other place in Miami. I understand raising food costs and margins but $7.50 for one scoop of ice cream is not ok, especially for the quality lately. So many times I’ve gone, including today and the ice cream is basically melted. I went today and it was just all entirely melted, oh and they were missing two flavors. I ended up getting a mini brownie bite, the size of my palm and paid $8 for it…EIGHT dollars….insane… It seems there a lack of management and no one is running the show here. I want to support but I just can’t anymore. I don’t see this place lasting at this rate.

We saw this place on Yelp and wanted to stop by while we were strolling around Coconut Grove. We tested 2 flavors. But the girl behind the counter seemed uneager and ultimately tried to upsell us just because we wanted a regular size cup with two scoops. We wanted vanilla and it turned out they gave us coconut instead. I didn't want to go back though hubby insisted on having them correct their mistake. The presentation seems cute and neat as can be seen on the photo, but unfortunately taste wasn't there. I have tried many gelatos including the ones in Italy. And I don't think this tastes like a gelato but more like a regular and overly frozen ice cream. And the service lacked warmth. Won't go back again.

Gelato is ok but doesn't have that wow factor. Very expensive, $6 for a small scoop. They offer whipping cream if you pay extra $ for it but for my surprise they were running out of it. I asked the cashier to tell the manager to get it for the next time I visited this place. For my surprise the manager was there and told me that they didn't have it because no one ask for it, despite of the fact they offer it in their menu. Then I decided to have a popsicle. It was so hard that my lips got frozen and stuck on it. If I was a kid I'd probably be without lips now. Then I tried to bite it. Again...it was very hard, so hard that my teeth wouldn't go thru it. I was sit outside with my friends and the manager goes there to ask if we were "Brazilians" just like him. I thought he would say something nice to us but instead he insulted me saying I wasn't polite, in front of my friend whose husband is American but can understand Portuguese. I'm like: You offer something that you don't have and then get upset because I complained?? Helooo....Quem nao tem competencia que nao se estabeleca. Next time don't go outside to insult your customers. It's not a good customer service being rude to them. Just say you are sorry there is a missing item in your menu and make things up. Offer a free topping or else. For the location there should be a line of customers there but the place was just empty. Now I know why. Mediocre "gelato" and horrible customer service. A combo for failure. My friends were very negatively impressed with his attitude. If he is the owner,...

TI am a big fan of ice cream and this place is very delicious! It seems too good to be true but it is organic, gluten free, kosher, all natural AND they have low sugar and vegan options. Today I had ice cream made out of blue algae and was so delicious. If you go to this spot, you need to get this ice cream. It is magically only 80 calories for 2 ounces. Conveniently, they also have pint size flavors packed and ready to take home. If you are craving an ice cream bar, they have TONS of flavors in a freezer ready for you to snag. I have tried the pink salt caramel, the coconut and the pistachio. All were delicious and I have a new goal of trying all the flavors. I think there must be at least a dozen flavors. This place is very kid friendly. The inside is decorated with tons of drawings, it is actually really adorable. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. Cute after date spot. TRY THIS PLACE IF YOU...
