Loved our evening at Botanico. We arrived earlier than our reservation to enjoy the bar, which was awesome. We chatted, took in the beautifully-designed restaurant, enjoyed listening to cool playlists while sipping yummy cocktails. My husband loved his margarita while I was enamored with the drink I ordered — the “Roku”, gin with aromatic tonic, honey and twist of lime. It had this beautiful light pink glow and was so refreshing. I realize I only took one photo all night and it was of this drink while at the bar. When our friends arrived we moved to a table. They were all perfectly spaced out with comfortable chairs, and we had a view of the entire restaurant from a new angle. So many details to take in. The wine cellar, the carved wood, the lighting, the glass garage doors, cool plates, even black silverware…all worth noting. And we saw they had etch-a-sketches to keep children entertained. For appetizers, we thoroughly enjoyed the goat cheese dip, shrimp lollipops & arepas trilogy. For our main dishes, I chose the salmon and my friend the branzino…we both loved our meals. We were so busy chatting I don’t recall what everyone else ordered. The service was top notch from Nicole at the bar to Cristina, our server at the table, both made us feel so welcomed. Our entire experience at...

I’ve passed this place many times and decided to go in today because I had some friends who were visiting from the UK. We had the worst experience. We were greeted by Alex, a bartender with blonde hair and dark eyes. We arrived shortly before 11:30pm and from the moment we arrived we were treated very badly. The first thing he said on greeting us was that there were 10 minutes left to close. There were four of us and we decided to order a round of drinks. Two of the glasses were dirty and sticky, as was the bar. What annoyed me the most was when I told him that one of the drinks was undrinkable and asked him to please fix it, he didn't even let me finish talking and he was rude with his response. Ultimately he did offer to make me another drink in exchange for the one I was complaining about, but given how rudely he’d treated me I told him I didn’t want him to make me anything else. I felt super uncomfortable for my friends. If he had told us from the moment we entered that they were already closing and that they couldn't sell us a drink, we would have gone elsewhere, but the point is Alex’s arrogant and rude attitude. Management needs to either work with him to improve his customer service skills or let him go. Personally I would...

I dined here last week with my family in the early afternoon and had a wonderful time. My family is particular when it comes to eating out but found everything delicious. The server was so accommodating and nice. We really felt taken care of. It's definitely some place I would dine again the next time I was in Miami or I would definitely recommend it to any who plans to visit Miami. The parking garage right next door is so convenient as well! I got mashed potatoes as a side with my steak and the consistency was so wonderful and unexpected. Definitely a better option than the fries. It just added a texture that you didn't think you needed and made you feel like you didn't just settle for fries because that's what you always get as a side for dinner. Great starch option. I really thought their happy hour menu pricing was appropriate and had a great list of options. I think what I would do the next time would be to get everything on that list just to try the variation. The design of the restaurant felt upscale without being stuffy which I appreciated since there's a time and a place for white...

09/19/2025 When we go out to eat, we expect an experience different from staying at home—unfortunately, this was not the case, and here are my comments. Food: An absolute disappointment. Dishes were served in chipped plates, the tomato still had the store sticker on it, the fish was dry with its garnish undercooked. The tuna tartare was acceptable but clearly of low quality. Service: Poor. Ice was brought to the table without tongs, dishes were served without cutlery, and items were nearly dropped on us. Unacceptable details for a place that charges so much for so little. Ambience: Cozy, but far from the luxury they advertise. It works better as a spot to gather with friends in the bar for drinks rather than a fine dining experience. Conclusion: A place not worth repeating—unless you’re with friends and it happens to be the only spot open in Coconut Grove.

Really good deserts! Salmon tartare was really good, bread wasn't toasted but I think it was better that it wasn't. Only had drinks and dessert. Good music, good atmosphere, really good location and they are also generous with their gin but not as generous with their garnishes. Is it worth $16 for a G&T for just a single berry and a different type of tonic water? Maybe the presentation can be a bit better. Also, they don't have that big of a gin selection. They have beefeater, boodles and tanqueray (very common brands of gin) and no monkey 47. The G&T choices are vast but pretty standard with the gin and small garnish difference. But I guess you can't do much with this cocktail. The real question is, have I had better gin & tonics somewhere else???
