Nestled in the heart of Coconut Grove, this enchanting restaurant transports you to the romantic streets of Paris, offering a taste of delicious and authentic, classic French cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted with a warm and cozy atmosphere.
Our recent visit to this Le Bouchon Du Grove was nothing short of a wonderful dining experience. As we settled into our seats, a glass of complimentary sparkling wine appeared before us, effervescent and inviting. The perfect start of a truly memorable evening, my wife's 50th birthday dinner.
The menu boasted an array of amazing choices, each more tantalizing than the last. After much deliberation, we decided to start with butternut squash soup and a deep plate of steamed mussels. Next, a heavenly aroma wafted through the air as the waiter presented us with a freshly baked French baguette. Its golden crust crackled under our eager fingers, revealing a soft, pillowy interior.
For the main course, the grilled tuna steak with a velvety portobello mushroom sauce arrived at our table. The tender fish, cooked to perfection, melted effortlessly in our mouths. The earthy notes of the mushrooms lent a delightful depth of flavor, elevating this dish to new heights.
And then, the pièce de résistance graced our table: a pan-seared filet mignon adorned with a rich and vibrant green peppercorn sauce, accompanied by a generous portion of crispy French fries.
The steak, cooked to a perfect medium-rare, was a symphony of flavors. With each succulent bite, the meat revealed its tender and juicy essence. The peppercorn sauce danced on our palates, its slight spiciness harmonizing with the robust flavors of the meat. The fries, golden and crispy, provided the ideal accompaniment, adding a satisfying crunch to the symphony of flavors on our plates.
Throughout our meal, the staff and owners displayed genuine warmth and friendliness. Their passion for French cuisine was evident in every detail, from the exquisite presentation of the dishes to their attentive service.
Having dined at this remarkable establishment on numerous occasions, including it being our favorite New Year's Eve restaurant, we can confidently say that it continues to exceed our expectations. It is a place where each bite takes you on a sensory journey to the heart of France.

Read moreOur latest outings have been a mission to check out the local spots with history and long living reputation. My boyfriend took me here for our date night and i was very excited about it. Usually our choice falls on amazing spots and it is a hit from the start. Unfortunately it wasn’t the case entirely..
Well, the atmosphere is definitely very vivid french bistro. I enjoyed numerous posters and wall art and cozy furniture. They also served us complementary glasses of sparkling wine, wasn’t sure if they do it regularly but it was nice. Wine selection was great, our choice fell on Malbec and it did go so well with tartare we ordered anticipating a marvelous filet mignon as a main course. The tartare was delicious, however, maybe its my personal preference, but the pieces could’ve been chopped smaller. The french fries and salad that accompanied the tartare i assume came with no sauce, and after we asked for some ketchup it didn’t seem too important for the server to remember, so we moved on. There was also marvelous tomato carpaccio. They sure know how to pick them and the olive oil dressing was amazing. However the tuna steak that it came with was seared only on one side, maybe thats how they serve it, which is fine, but it did feel slightly fishy, so my attention turned back to tomatoes quickly. I am not huge on meats but my boyfriend is. He ordered $48 steak that came covered in sauce entirely with some more fries and salad, with no sauce, again. I thought it was strange, usually places like to display a beautiful roast/grill and they don’t dump sauce all over the main star of the dish, but it didn’t bother my boyfriend, so he dug into it. Only to find out that the stake wasn’t cooked properly to medium rare, it was basically raw meat still cold inside. The dessert was a real nice delish! Loved the texture and vanilla of that amazing apple pie.
I respect and admire history of wonderful places, especially in current Miami dining scene that changes so fast. Le Bouchon Du Grove is definitely a place with a character's, charm and culture. But we didn’t click this first time but i am totally willing to try again. I hope this review brings some insights to them, more than criticism. Places with history should be thriving as...
Read moreThe waiter was unbelievably rude to us from the beginning. I have a food allergy and called ahead of time to ask questions to see if they can accommodate allergies, and the person on the phone assured me that they can accommodate my allergy, that the kitchen knows how to be careful with allergies, and that it wouldn’t be an issue. I made a reservation and was so excited to try it out. When I got there, the waiter didn’t come to the table for a long time, and when he did come, he started off with a bad attitude and was rude before we even got a chance to talk. I told the waiter about my allergy (as I had on the phone as well) and asked the waiter if the chef could change gloves before handling my food and asked if the kitchen knew anything about allergies, and the waiter was extremely rude (despite me being very polite about it) and told me that “they are NOT going to change gloves” but that I “would be fine.” I explained that with my allergy I wouldn’t be fine because they have my allergen in their kitchen - that could make me very sick - and he continued to tell me that I’d be fine. It was very frustrating that he was unwilling to ask the kitchen to take any precautions (even though the person on the phone said it wouldn’t be a problem), and it was very frustrating that he thought he knew more about my allergy than I did. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone with allergies!! I also wouldn’t recommend this restaurant in general because the waiter was so unbelievably rude and even rolled his eyes at me despite me trying to be extremely polite to him.
He wouldn’t allow me to speak to anyone from the kitchen, so unfortunately I had to leave. I was very sad and hungry when I left! I do not recommend this place to anyone with allergies or celiac disease.
The table and chair was dirty, the restaurant was a little gross, and despite the expensive meals, the table set up felt like I was at a cheap place. Parking in that area is extremely difficult as well! I wouldn’t go again, and I...
