Cane a Sucre is a popular spot for Miami downtown workers for many years. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Your meal is brought to you quickly as these lunch hours go by quickly, and you have to get back to work. They understand this here very well, and it is appreciated by everyone. My friend and I both got a Greek salad trying to be mindful of our diets. It was fresh, tasty, and filling. We enjoyed chatting in this friendly, casual, and quiet restaurant during lunch hour. Parking is not easy to find in the downtown area, but there are garages in the area, or you can Uber.

My co-worker and I went to lunch here again. We like their food and the menu variety. We ordered the Caprese salad with prosciutto. Delicious!. It works with my Keto lifestyle. Service is good and friendly. They have good sandwiches and we love their pumpkin soup in the fall. We walk here from our office.

So, I went in for a coffee and something salty like a pastry, nothing big because I did not have much of an appetite.

Thanks God I did not order anything else because my experience was not good.

The coffee tasted awkard. They just had sweet pastries, so I ordered a muffin that was a 3 out of 5. Total was around $10.00 fortunately not much to lose.

AC was on but barely felt. At least, the weather was generous that day and not that hot.

I always wash my hands when I enter to a place either to drink or eat. For me, this is key for a place to eat and drink. None of the bathrooms had soap, neither men's room nor ladies room. Told the lady at the counter and she told me that would take a while so she invited me to their sink. Guess what? No soap. I barely got a drop for my hands. I mean it is appreciated the gesture, but there was no soap there either.

You see where I am going? How do employees wash their hands if there is no soap? It is...

Vegetarian review: A very tasty sandwich shop run by a French woman. The vegetarian options are limited but they are tasty. This place is a return trip.

I tried the fig baguette toasted sandwich and it was fantastic. Although, I've eaten better, and I found nothing new in the Cane a Sucre avatar, you will be happy. I found it to have the right amount of sweetness. Maybe next time I will ask for some tomatoes in there post-toasting.

The grilled vegetable sandwich on the other hand was unimaginative and felt like grilled onions and mushrooms. This one needs some serious rework with a little more imagination.

The restaurant itself is spacious and nice.

The biggest downer: They serve water in plastic glasses with chipped rims that are frosted from repeated washing. I almost wanted to drop another star because of this.

Amazing food but horrible customer service. The manager/staff member I just interacted with at this establishment needs to learn how to speak to customers with respect. Please do not address me as "sweetheart" and tell me "let me explain to you for the second time again since you don't understand". I am perfectly capable of comprehending the English language. All I did was ask a simple question and I didn't need to be spoken to like I'm sort of idiot. If management wants to speak to their employees like that cool, but you will not disrespect me. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this gem after this unpleasant...
