I recently had the pleasure of dining at Doggi’s Arepa Bar, a Venezuelan gem in Miami. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The décor beautifully reflects Venezuelan culture, adding an authentic touch to the dining experience.
The menu is a delightful exploration of Venezuelan cuisine. I started with the arepas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and wonderfully soft on the inside, filled with a savory blend of meats and cheeses. The flavors were vibrant and well-balanced, a true testament to traditional Venezuelan cooking.
For the main course, I had the pabellón criollo, a classic Venezuelan dish featuring shredded beef, black beans, rice, and sweet plantains. Each component was cooked to perfection, and together, they created a harmonious symphony of flavors. The tender, flavorful beef and the sweetness of the plantains were particularly standout elements.
The service was impeccable throughout the meal. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to share their recommendations. They made sure we had everything we needed and that our dining experience was nothing short of excellent.
To top it all off, I ended the meal with a slice of tres leches cake, which was moist, rich, and absolutely delicious. It was the perfect way to conclude a fantastic meal.
Overall, Doggi’s Arepa Bar exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of authentic cuisine, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the best of Venezuelan dining. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning soon!

Read moreWe’re visiting from abroad and found Doggi’s and decided to visit because of the raving reviews on Google. The food was so delicious (slightly expensive, but delicious). We ordered the patacon de churrasco, arepa santa bárbara, and the tajadas for ~$50 without tip.
Unfortunately, I’m leaving 2 stars as the overall experience we had dining there left me feeling quite disappointed. We felt slightly unwelcome as it appeared that we were the only customers who were not fluent Spanish speakers. I am American and my husband is British, and we are conversational in Spanish, but spoke in English to each other and staff.
I didn’t realise until several other parties were seated, but the male server (Fri evening April 5th) who sat us and took our order did not offer to explain to us that it was happy hour. 4 parties were seated after we arrived and each of them was given a lengthy description in Spanish of how their happy hour works.
We waited for what seemed like ages before our empty, stacked plates were collected. As they were collected I asked for the bill. After receiving the bill, we then waited again for quite sometime payment to be taken. Please note that the restaurant was not visibly overworked or understaffed at this time. The male server notably pointed in our direction whilst speaking with the other servers, but no one came to take payment. We finally asked to pay and he begrudgingly came.
Tip options automatically generated for 20%, 22%, and 25%. But we chose to leave much less, as reflected in our experience. We left feeling conflicted, as the food was wonderful but the staff just...
Read moreI recently took my wife to Doggies Restaurant for the first time, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, perfect for a cozy and relaxed meal. We ordered the Sopa de Res and Arepas, and both dishes were absolutely delicious! The soup was hearty, flavorful, and comforting—just like a homemade meal. The arepas were perfectly cooked, with a crisp exterior and soft, tender inside, filled with just the right amount of ingredients.
A special shoutout to Jean, our server and writer, who made the experience even more memorable. His attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and passion for the dishes were truly remarkable. Jean took the time to explain the menu and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. His dedication to his craft is evident, and it added a personal touch to the dining experience.
My wife absolutely loved it! She’s already talking about coming back, and I can’t agree more. If you’re looking for a place with amazing food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Doggies Restaurant is the place to go. Highly...
