I had a wonderful experience at this bakery the other day. I decided to check it out randomly and was absolutely satisfied with my visit. The bakery is inside a shopping mall on the first floor. It is not that big, but during lunchtime on Friday, it was only half busy, and I got a table with no problem. The place is designed simply but prettily. The entire place was very clean, including my table. I liked that the drink bar, where they prepare all the drinks, is separate from the main section with food and the register. The drink bar is actually a bar, with chairs around it where you can sit down and have your drink or food there. The menu is not that big. It mostly features sandwiches, desserts, and soft drinks. The menu also includes a few salads and a soup. I was moderately hungry and decided to try a Norwegian Sandwich and a White Chocolate Iced Latte. I absolutely loved what I got! The sandwich, which was actually a croissant, was extremely tasty! The croissant was very fresh and soft. The salmon was also very fresh and flavorful. But what really gave the sandwich a fantastic flavor was the lemon vinegar; I absolutely loved it! The White Chocolate Iced Latte was super tasty. I personally love white chocolate, so the flavor was perfect for me. It actually tasted like white chocolate and was perfectly sweet. Of course, I couldn't help myself and had to order a dessert, which was a White Chocolate (surprise!) Raspberry Mousse. This dessert was also absolutely delicious! Its consistency was very soft, and both flavors – white chocolate and raspberry – were clearly distinguishable and super flavorful! I find this combination very nice! By the way, the dessert selection had a variety of options, and all the desserts looked very appealing! In conclusion, everything I tried was absolutely delicious! I can't mention anything negative about the food quality. I also have to highlight the service, which was very fast. I got my order within five minutes. The staff working that day was extremely sweet to me. The only issue I would like to point out is the prices at this bakery, which are high and overpriced. For the three items I ordered, I paid $27.34, which can be a full lunch with an appetizer, a main meal, and a drink when you're very hungry. I should mention that the sizes of my sandwich and dessert were not that big; the dessert was actually small. So paying $27 for that was kind of painful. But I must admit that these are typical Miami prices. If you go to a nice cafe in Miami, you always spend a lot of money, like $8 for a latte everywhere. Anyway, the most important thing is the quality of the food and drinks, which is very high at this place. That’s why I absolutely recommend this bakery for a visit, and I am excited to come back and try other items...
Read moreAh, Ficelle. A name that evokes the elegance of French patisseries and the promise of buttery bliss. What I expected was a charming post-gym indulgence with my mother and child—a well-earned treat after an hour of tireless lunges and self-restraint. What I received, however, was a lesson in disappointment so bitter it should be served with espresso and a warning label.
Let us set the scene: I walk into Ficelle, glistening slightly with the dignified glow of exertion, child in hand, mother in tow. My spirits? High. My expectations? Reasonable, yet hopeful. I survey the display of pastries like a general assessing the battlefield. I point—nay, commit—to a sweet treat, a modest yet promising delight. This was to be a small joy, a reward for discipline.
Instead, I was served a heaping portion of culinary betrayal.
First offense: the service. Lukewarm, perfunctory, bordering on dismissive. No greeting, no smile, no hint of hospitality. We were not customers—we were inconveniences. I wasn’t asking for a red carpet, but an acknowledgment of our presence might’ve sufficed.
Second, and most egregious: the treat itself. What should have been a divine little morsel—flaky, rich, lovingly made—was stale, dry, and criminally overpriced. Imagine my horror as I bit into something with the texture of week-old biscotti and the soul of an unloved granola bar. My mother’s expression said it all: bewilderment. My child? Unimpressed and sticky.
Is Ficelle under the impression that ambiance alone can make up for mediocrity? That a few artfully placed marble countertops and lavender sprigs can distract from the fact that their pastries taste like regret wrapped in parchment?
In conclusion, I arrived at Ficelle a hopeful patron. I left a disillusioned critic, a child tugging at my sleeve and a mother quietly whispering, “We should’ve gone somewhere else.”
Ficelle, consider this your wake-up call. The next time I seek a post-workout treat, I’ll walk past your doors—and into a bakery that remembers what joy tastes like.
One star, and that’s for the door, which at least opened when...

The ambience reminds you of a warm place, with a very thought decoration, there’s a detail in every corner of this boulangerie and bakery. I read “This home runs Love, laughter & lots of strong coffee”.
The staff are warm and welcoming ❤️, specially the lady who was on the coffee bar, she took good care of selecting my milk options for my hot chocolate and was very knowledgeable of the guests preferences.
The bakery boys behind the glass seemed to be having fun as a team 💪🏻🔥
The interior decoration of white walls and wooden touches is very relaxing, I loved the high wooden chairs with un perfect symmetries.
The HUGE cups of Julius Meinl caught my attention, they are there for picking up your sugar options.
The bread 🥖 was excellent, the croissant 🥐 with turkey and cheese 🧀 . They really surprised me with their quality and layers of crunchy bread and the light buttery taste on it.
The baguettes to take home were already sold out when we came, meaning they’re probably the best of the house. They have many options of big bread to take home.
Le Turkey was a baguette with turkey, baby spinach and tomato on it, the sauce was very delicious, you can taste the oregan, maybe rosemary, oil and more in it.
The coffee brand that they use is the same Julius Meinl as for hot chocolate. The coffee machine is a very elegant and modern one, you can smell as soon as it crushes the coffee beans the indulging scent going into to you ☕️ The flavor and the aroma were excellent.
About the cleanliness, the place is very well taken care of, I saw the staff constantly taking care of every table that was left by their visitors.
The music was well chosen and a good selection and variety of styles that reminds you of Miami within a modern Parisian style coffee.
I’ll definitely will be coming...
