I worked in hobby lobby, I love this place and continue to shop on a monthly basis or weekly, depending on my needs. Here is some help for you guys.
There is NO APPLE PAY. Only cash, debit and credit.
If there is an item that you want online, ALWAYS call the store beforehand to see if they carry it in stock. If they do and they only have a few, have them hold it for you. They hold up for up to an HOUR. Okay the FASTEST way they check if there is an item in stock is by YOU providing the SKU number which is right under the cost of the item, and generally a total of 6 numbers.
Not all stores are alike.
So please keep that in mind if you are looking for an online item in store. If there is no one by the fabric section, I recommend asking a cashier at the front because theres usually a designated individual as not everyone has been trained, if there is no designated individual then a manager would come instead.
If an item is not on the floor because itâs out of stock, there will be nothing in the back. The way hobby lobby works is that all items must be put on the floor at the beginning of the week. They receive it on Monday or Tuesday and then it takes 1 to 2 days for it to be put on the floor. This is why itâs a great idea to call beforehand.
You can actually ask to have an online item shipped to the store through the cashier. Itâs a paper that filled out with the item SKU #, and exact name of the item and price and whether itâs on sale. This is great if you need multiple and you donât want to pay for the delivery shipping. HOWEVER do it before Thursday or Thursday, if you need an item right away cause thatâs the day when they do the orders for all items all customers ask, and generally get there the following week.
If you are a business, non-profit, teacher, charity ask them if you can get a tax exempt or something like that. I didnât do it often so I forgot what itâs called. You need your tax ID, with your business name and everything as they have to make a copy in store and you get a card that they scan and all items will be tax exempt. This takes time because they have to fill the paperwork manually, only do it if you are not in a hurry.

Centrally located in Miami I donât have to drive 30 mins to get a sheet of special paper anymore. The store has organized sections per hobbie/craft and itâs fairly simple to navigate. Employees are knowledgeable and kind and will point you in the right direction -that is, if you can find one- but worst case scenario, youâll get to wander around the store and get inspired as you find what youâre looking for. Prices seem to be fair and one of the things I like the most is that you can buy single amounts of whatever you need, meaning they donât force you to buy 50 sheets of cardboard paper when all you need is two. đđ The only downside of this store is checking out. Lines are long and the last two times Iâve been there it took me over 15mins of waiting time to pay for items. They donât use codebars on their products so cashiers have to enter manually every freaking itemđ Iâd also suggest them to work on their âpackagingâ options. They only have small plastic bags and delicate items like big size paper/cardboard will get damaged while transported out the store.    Read moreThis place is ridiculous - they charged me for a pillow and the girl amirys or something like that charged me for it and did not put it in my bag. I call the store after getting home and noticing the bag wasnt in there and spoke to someone they said yes they have the pillow that to bring a receipt ( side note they donât hold something you purchased, you would be given a refundâŚ) i get there after driving back from pembroke pines to get it and they called amirys three times to the register and not once did she come to the front , instead called the register and said she didnât know anything of a pillow instead of seeing i purchased earlier today wouldâve remembered me and the transaction and i was having a hard time because she charged the pillow with a âchristmasâ discount instead of a home decor discount - the manager didnât even wanna give me it until i said okay then give me a refund on this and run back the cameras for you to see, i wouldnât waste my time on this - he then said itâs okay
those lines are always long and only one register most of the time - ridiculous...
