This is a quaint and charming little place. We didn't realize until we ordered that they were scheduled to close in about 30 min. Our server, Florencia, was so extremely kind and helpful. She made us feel welcome and told us not to worry about the time and to enjoy our food. She made great suggestions for us, as it was our first time there. We ordered sandwiches - El Cubano, Jamberguer, Pio Burguer, and a bowl of black bean soup. We also had a delicious coffee drink, the Tres Leches. The black bean soup was amazing. The folks who ordered the cuban sandwiches said their only critique is that it needs more sauce, which comes on the side. The other two sandwiches are DELICIOUS. The folks who ordered those had the same feedback - they are hard to eat because they fall apart. Things got pretty messy by the time each sandwich was finished. But - we had such a good experience, we went back a couple of days later to try different dishes - and ended up having Florencia as our server again. She remembered us and was as lovely and welcoming as she had been during our first visit. Initially, I was going to order the Pio Burguer but they were out of them so I ordered the half-chicken meal which came with sautéed green beans and rice/black beans. The second time we also ordered a sandwich called El Bistek, chicken empanada, croquets, and fried plantains. Again, the sandwich was delicious. The rice/black beans that came with the chicken meal were pretty dry. The croquets and plantains were delicious. I'd definitely visit again on my next trip to Miami.

Cuban coffee is a unique experience, one that is rich in history, culture, and craftsmanship. The dense quality of Cuban coffee reflects the meticulous care that goes into every step of its preparation. From the selection of beans to the brewing process, Cuban coffee is steeped in tradition and infused with love. It is not just the strength of the brew that captivates, but also the flavors that are bold, sweet, and intensely aromatic, creating a sensory experience that resonates deeply with those who appreciate authentic recipes. One of the standout offerings, the 305 café drink, combines the richness of Cuban coffee with the delicate sweetness of guava jam. The subtle sweetness of the guava balances the intensity of the coffee, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that surprises and delights the palate. This unique fusion reflects the creativity and innovation that comes from a deep respect for tradition, while also embracing new culinary ideas. What makes the experience even more remarkable is the hospitality that surrounds it. The care put into every cup is evident, not only in the preparation but in the service and the atmosphere. The people who work here are passionate about their craft and it shows. They understand that quality matters—not just in the coffee itself, but in every interaction with their customers. It’s this dedication to quality, coupled with a genuine desire to make an impact, that elevates the experience.

I had a very unfortunate experience today at La Colada. I stopped in to grab a coffee and soup to go, parking next to what I later realized was the owner's vehicle. I was inside for no more than 15 minutes, yet when I walked out, my car was gone. I was informed that it had likely been towed, and that the building owner actively watches for cars to tow. Additionally, it was on a holiday after 6 PM (non-business hours).

At no point was I warned about this, and the staff’s indifferent attitude only made the experience worse. My $20 purchase felt completely devalued, adding insult to injury. I actively support local businesses—even though I have a Starbucks nearby with free parking for the same coffee price—but it’s disappointing that La Colada is aware of this predatory towing situation and does nothing to protect its customers. I ended up paying $180 + Uber to retrieve my car + $20 for a soup and coffee- that I no longer cared for.

This kind of negligence will only drive patrons away. A simple gesture, like a warning or even an apology, would have made a difference. Sadly, it’s clear that customer service is not a priority here. I'm disappointed that they are not standing up for it and as a result- I don't see the business lasting long, but I do hope they will. Although, I won't be spending my hard-earned money there since they don't seem to care either way. Best of luck to...
