Pastamarket — Restaurant in Miami

Previously I posted a review about Pasta Market in Miami Shores.

I wrote: “The food is overpriced and the service is subpar at best (especially at mandatory 15% service fee). The lobster ravioli had no lobster in it, and be careful not to ask for the pink sauce because it is an additional $8.00 charge.”

I got a Response from the owner:

Good night. We are sorry to read about your bad experience at Pasta Market. All prices are published in the menu, we are a restaurant that sells fresh pasta and you can add your favourite sauce. The sauce is 8usd and the losbter ravioli is 13usd, a very reasonable price. The service charge was also informed when delivering the bill (it is absolutely not mandatory) and our staff did not receive any complaints from you at the time to resolve any dissatisfaction. We look forward to seeing you again to improve your experience. Thank you.

13usd may be a reasonable price, IF IT HAD LOBSTER IN IT. 13 dollars for ravioli and 8 dollars for sauce is not a reasonable price at all. The staff did receive our dissatisfaction, however, we did not make a huge deal of the matter. The service fee is mandatory, it was added to the bill, there is not an option to waive it, therefore it is mandatory. We were NOT informed that the sauce in the ravioli would be an additional charge and we were not informed of a 15% service fee. We paid and we left. You shall not be receiving our service again, especially if the owner wants to leave passive...

It’s not often that you can say a catering experience was truly memorable, but with Pasta Market, it certainly was! It all started with a simple idea: order lunch for my team at work. After hearing great things about Pasta Market and its fantastic owner Maurizio, we decided to give it a try. And what a great decision that turned out to be!

Maurizio is not only a true professional but also someone who’s incredibly attentive to detail. The catering arrived right on time, but what really blew us away was the food: steaming lasagna and succulent pasta, all perfectly hot and wonderfully sauced. Each dish tasted like it had been made with love, and we can vouch that every bite was a delight. And the presentation? Not only was the food delicious, but Maurizio thought of everything—perfect containers to keep things warm, napkins, condiments—every little thing was taken care of.

But the thing that really made the experience special was Maurizio's personal touch: always available, smiling, and ready to handle anything, even when we realized we’d forgotten to order grated cheese (yes, we’re that type of group). Not only did he promptly solve the situation, but he also made sure our lunch turned into a moment of real enjoyment, where everyone felt taken care of.

Without a doubt, Pasta Market has earned a spot on my list of favorite Italian restaurants. A huge thank you to Maurizio for making our day even better with his amazing food and warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back soon, but next time, maybe I’ll order a bit...
