I recently visited Raising Cane's with high expectations, given its reputation for serving quality chicken fingers. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly short of those expectations, leaving me disappointed and questioning the overall value for money.
Firstly, the size of the chicken strips was incredibly underwhelming. These so-called "chick strips" were tiny, more appropriate for an appetizer than a main meal. They were so small that they couldn't adequately feed a small child, let alone an adult with a decent appetite. To add to the disappointment, these chicken strips lacked any discernible flavor. The blandness was striking, making me wonder if any seasoning was used at all.
The cole slaw, another staple side dish, was equally disappointing. It was practically flavorless, offering no contrast to the already bland chicken. A good cole slaw should have a tangy, slightly sweet, and refreshing taste, but Raising Cane's version missed the mark entirely, adding nothing to the meal.
Then there was the Texas toast, which I had hoped would be a saving grace. Unfortunately, it was soggy and devoid of the crispy, buttery goodness that good Texas toast should have. It felt as though it had been sitting out for too long, resulting in a limp and unappetizing piece of bread that did nothing to enhance the meal.
Raising Cane's is also known for its "famous sauce," which I had heard a lot about. Sadly, this too was a letdown. The sauce lacked any significant flavor, failing to provide the necessary zest to elevate the chicken strips. It was just another bland component in an already flavorless meal.
Given the poor quality and flavor of the food, the overall value for money was not good. The prices charged for such subpar items felt unjustified, making me feel like I had wasted my money.
The one redeeming factor in my experience was the customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about providing a good experience. Unfortunately, great customer service couldn't compensate for the disappointing food quality.
In conclusion, my visit to Raising Cane's was a letdown. Tiny, flavorless chicken strips, bland cole slaw, soggy Texas toast, and an underwhelming "famous sauce" combined to create a meal that was far from enjoyable. The only positive aspect was the excellent customer service, but it's not enough to make me want to return. For the price paid, the overall value was poor, and I cannot recommend Raising Cane's based on...
Read moreIt’s my understanding that this Canes is fairly new or opened recently. That factored into my review as places that normally open within a year have a good training team in place or very well trained staff.
This canes has two different drive-through lanes. I pulled up to the farthest drive-through lane and was not greeted. I was waiting there for someone to take my order when no one was talking to me. I finally said hello and she very snippily said wait one moment as she was apparently taking the order for the other lady in the other drive-through lane, who arrived well after I did.
For a restaurant with such a limited menu, it took over eight minutes for me to get my food. I ordered a lemonade and they filled up the cup 3/4 of the way with ice so I barely got a drink. on top of that the oil for the fries was very clearly old and the fries did not taste good.
I expect better service and quality from Canes. Since this Canes is located on a drag, I would find someplace...
Read moreToo many lazy workers that don’t know how to push the right buttons. I travel a long distances for work and this locations is exactly half way for me. So I frequently visit. Every time a young person who is seemingly new to the job can’t ever get my order right. I don’t drink soda, tea, or anything like that. I always substitute my drink for an extra toast. I do it every time I go to Canes. My brother worked at a Canes so I know it’s a thing. But without fail whenever I go to this location and a younger new employee takes my order I get “it’s not a thing” even though I’ve done it here multiple times. It always seems to be the same girl too. Whoever was taking drive through orders between 5:40 and 5:50 on 08/25/25 is the source of my problem with this location. I hate wasting money on stuff I don’t need especially plastic cups. So either management doesn’t train their employees correctly or the employees are just lazy. Happens 1/3 times and I’m getting...
