I love ethnic food and especially Indian culture. I always try to support artisans from India. My first time here was a little disappointing. When I entered about noon I noticed two or three tables with a couple Indian folks dining, but lots of open tables. I told the lady at the counter that I would like to sit and have a coffee while I look over the menu to order a carry out. She said they didn't have any coffee and did not offer me to sit down. It said coffee on their menu, and I know its an Indian restaurant but its 2022 every country drinks coffee now a days. She helped another guy picking up his order which I understand could have distracted her from providing me service. Now, I am not sure if she did not understand or seemed stressed out for some. but I stood and looked over the menu and ordered a carry out. I paid noticing the the prices were a dollar more for everything listed on the menu. I understand times are hard but if that is a carry out surcharge then it should be clarified. Then she tells me it would be 35 minutes wait.So I have to go back out and sit in my car in the rain instead of being seated like I asked. I understand if they were busy, but they were not. I also would understand if it was really fresh ingredients and preparation for good food then waiting would be worth it. I paid 30 for 3 items 2 roti breads, a sag paneer and a lentil SOUP. The portions were appropriate for the human gastronomic system yet small for the price. I feel the corner in the back of the mall is not the greatest location if they wanted to be more busy. But good food can draw a crowd no matter what. Anyway. The rice seemed fresh was mildly aromatic and cooked perfectly, which was nice. The sag paneer was spiced well as I asked for it to be spicy but it was not crazy. The lentil soup was a little too salty for my taste and I was surprised it was actual soup and not like cooked lentils. Maybe in different parts of Indian this is tradition. In their defense it was listed as soup so it was very watery lentils with much less beans than I thought like about 1/6 of the container had beans. Beans are important staple if you are vegetarian and that is what you make your meal out of so paying attention to the menu details would be important to understand what you are getting. All in all it is a decent restaurant and I am sure everyone works very hard. I guess the biggest disappointment came from not feeling welcomed and invited to sit when I asked so other wise I might have put...

We seldom write reviews -- this is our second one ever -- but my wife and I immediately looked at each other during our meal and said we should write a review. We love Indian food, and had gone to India House for our wedding anniversary meal. So we feel like we know our Indian food.
Ever taste a watered down Indian dish? Not in India House. The food was creamy and tasty. The selection was more varied than most Indian buffets. There were the exceptional samosas, the best pakora we ever had, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken as well as a great assortment for vegetarians: Dal Makhni (lentils), saag paneer (spinach), channa masala (chick peas), punjabi bhaji (veggie fritters) and aloo gobi (cauliflower and potatoes). Also: fresh naan made to order, either plain or garlic, which is an offering unique to this buffet. The majority of patrons at India House were Indian, which is always a good sign. The food may be a little Americanized because the heat is toned down, but it has plenty of flavor. A bit less salty, and the food would have been perfect -- we were gulping water the rest of the day, but it was worth it.

Read moreThis is most horrible food I ever eat. It seems like food was cooked by unprofessional chef. Not chef but looks like the cook is very bad. I would never recommend anyone to have there food from this. The service was okay not great either. But the ladies were sweet. We order paneer pakora it looks like it is just besan with no taste and paneer was missing. Even for paneer naan. There was no paneer in naan. I have never seen such a bad food. The prices of food was expensive not at all worth for money . It is really really bad experience. Not a single food has taste. I am giving this honest feedback of this restaurant. Non of the food has any taste nor my friends like and neither my kids. I would not refer anyone. It not even worth of 1 star just a tasteless and not well presented food I have ever eaten. This is not at all good. Even a house food is much much better than...
