Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Middleburg Heights

Very dirty location. There were pieces of food all over the counters and mixed in with other items on the serving line. One employee was wearing gloves but kept wiping his hands all over his apron then wiping them across the counter, back to his apron and then grabbed my food??????? This location used to be pretty good but lately it has gotten so bad and filthy. Not sure I will go back here, it looks like a stones throw away from being shut down by the health department.

Update 9/16/2022 I stopped in to try again and hoped things were better- nope. This location still does not follow health regulations and is putting the public at a SERIOUS health risk. I watched the employee making food in front of me taking her hands and scraping food items that had spilled onto the tray dividers and prep area back into the active food bins. Meat laying on the prep area where they slid the dishes along to build the orders just scraped up with her hands and put back in the meat container. Picking up pieces of lettuce or salsa along the way. This would be like one of us making food on the countertop and scraping the loose cheese or salsa up with our hands and putting it back in the container. Not worrying about what is on the counter or if it is sanitized, just slid it all together and back into the container for later. All the while she never even bothered to change her gloves, just kept handling food orders and wiping her hands against her apron. Absolutely terrible. The next time there is a huge sickness related to Chipolte we all will know why. I am so bothered by this I have contacted the County Board of Health and filed a formal complaint against...

For the past 7 or 8 years I have visited this chipotle, and it actually pains me to do this. However this particular location should be avoided at all costs. Just today I got a burrito that was barely palatable. Over the last 5 years I have noticed a systemic pattern of inconsistency , and a total lack of proper training. The staff is often rude to the point of me repeatedly having to complain over a number of years. The food wildly fluctuates from amazing, to inedible, and I have resorted to actually driving miles from my home to get chipotle. That's right, I actually have resorted to driving miles away from where I live to enjoy food made by a chain that is virtually walking distance. I don't know if it is complacency in ownership, or a lack of properly trained management, but there is something wrong. Every time I have given this place a chance recently I have regretted it. GET IT TOGETHER!!!!!!! I can also say that I know many many many people who feel the same about this location. My burrito today was a great example, steak was dry and over seasoned, the black beans and fajita veggies were cold, tomato salsa mushy, and tasting as well as looking like they had thrown tomatoes in a chopper. I was sorely disappointed, and even more so disappointed that I have complained about these specific issues to the general manager of the store before, and nothing has changed. Worst experience, go there, order some food, tell them to spread it out so it looks nice and full in the bowl. Then the girl's trying to charge me for double meat, which I did not order. So then she gets a manager and then the manager says, oh, we're just we make a new one. So instead of taking some of the meat off which I did not order extra meat, the boy spread it apart. They go ahead and make me a new one. So waste all that food and throw it away. Then the girl puts too much stuff on. She takes it off with a spoon and scoops it back into the same container and cross contaminated the product. And I said something to her and she was a manager, and she didn't care that she cross contaminated by mixing other products together. She took stuff back out of my bowl and mixed it back in to a container on the line. This was terrible service. I would never go to this one again. Bad atmosphere, not friendly It all and the manager didn't even care. She's a short little girl. These people don't care, they don't care about cross contaminating your food and mixing it all up and she was a manager. We'll never go back there again. Are terrible on...
