Horrible experience. Heard great things was really excited to go. Get there and was told a 20 minute wait. Turned out to me more than double that. Ordered fresh squeezed orange juice. They ran out. Then was rushed to order another drink quickly. Placed an order for food. Very simple order. I wanted to have an omelette which I believe was the (oh so cheesy) and I wanted to add peppers and onions. She asked me what kind of toast. Once again they were out of another thing I ordered since they were out of white toast. Food came out on time however on my first bite I realized the omelette came out with ham and sausage all inside. This made me furious because I DONT eat pork. To have taken a bite out of a dish that was ordered with no meat in it specifically and finding out that it had chunks of pork in it really disgusted me. My server offered to get me a new dish but I waited another 15 to 20 mins and just gave up. I asked for the check and canceled my order. At no point did a manager come to the table to try and resolve the issue and to make all matters worse as I get up I realize I sat on a dirty straw that was covered in chocolate and whip cream all over my new pants. Even more frustrated I get up and hand the dirty straw to a hostess and again no manager. The place is run by kids and there seems to be no one in charge. I wasted over an hour of my life there waiting for food I never got to eat. So to recap I went to a location to eat food but went home hungry and with dirty pants I just purchased. Table next to us complained about a dirty table also. My girlfriend liked the waffle she ordered. I most likely would never go back or recommend to a friend. I manage a few restaurants and I would be pretty embarrassed at all the events that took...
Read moreI want to give 5 stars - I really do - the food is amazing - but they just don't have workers who pay attention to what they are doing - I have eaten there, they got the order wrong for my friend I was with - I have ordered and picked up and ordered through DoorDash - I get the exact same thing every time - spuds and then a sandwich with extra ranch dressing with an extra order of spuds - 1 - they always leave out the first order of spuds - 2- always forget the extra ranch dressing and 3 - the spuds I do get are either burnt to a crisp or half of them are missing - this is what I got today the spuds with the sandwich looked like someone ate half of them - the bag was sealed so I know DoorDash didn't eat them. As much as I love their food - I just can't order from here anymore -
Follow up - I did give you another change - yesterday - I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich - was looking so forward to it - but do you think that is what I got? NOPE - I got some plain grilled chicken sandwich instead - but hey, at least this time they remembered the ranch dressing!
Yet another follow up: I really tried to keep giving them a chance, yesterday I ordered a BLT and they left out the L and the T -how do you send someone toast with bacon on it and nothing else. Today I said, don't give up - try (because the food is good if they get it right) I asked for extra ranch dressing and once again, I didn't get any dressing at all - can't eat a...
Read moreI used to be a regular here when I lived in the area a couple years ago, because it was the best local spot for a tasty and affordable gluten free brunch. Back then you could get a single piece of french toast in any of their flavors for $5, which was a great deal, especially since I usually can’t finish a full order. However, I went back today after a while (I’d guess it’s probably been about a year since my last visit) and they just charged me $43 for 3 pieces of french toast and a coffee. Not 3 orders- 3 single tiny pieces of gluten free bread! At first I thought they rang me up wrong, because my full order used to run me between $12-21 depending on whether I got 2 or 3 pieces and what drink I ordered.
Not really sure what happened there- I understand prices are going up for everything these days, but this was more than double what they used to charge for the same order… and charging $12 for a single tiny piece of gluten free bread with some toppings seems a bit much. I do wish the employee who took my order had mentioned that they’ve started upcharging like crazy if you order separate toppings. I would’ve stuck to one type of topping to only get upcharged once so my bill would’ve probably been more reasonable.
Overall, their french toast is delicious and I’ll probably go back as an occasional indulgence, but I certainly wouldn’t consider this spot to be an affordable option for gluten free...
