Seat yourself
Overall easy parking
I like how spaced out the tables/booths are in this place
We sat in the booth which is closest to the front door and looks out a window, comfortable seating
The place was clean from where I sat and our area was clean as well
I love eggs benedict and it is something I usually choose when I go to a place for the first time and they have it on their menu, I always go with traditional because that's what I like
The eggs Benedict came with home potatoes
I felt the hollandaise sauce was a bit bland, I always want my English muffin toasted well so I have a little bit of the crunch with my bite and having asked for that to be done, it was not
I did not care for the potatoes, the seasoning was okay but they were such big chunks and by the time I received them they were close to cold
There was also a little bit of a sweetness with my eggs benedict bites and I'm thinking it had something to do with the English muffin, I did not care for that at all
I would give this dish a three out of 5 stars, but the service overall was 4 out of 5 stars so I went with the four stars
I do want to go back and try their pancakes, they have a pretty long list of different flavored pancakes/waffles, so I would be interested in going back to try those
We did ask for our bill and the young lady who was serving us in the beginning did not bring a bill and about 20 minutes later we received a bill from another lady after asking again... As I'm watching the young lady who was our server walked down the street, I'm guessing she was off work
We met the owner and she was very nice
I wish her nothing but the best
My total was just under $15 for the traditional eggs benedict and a cup of coffee, with tip I spent $18
My friend ordered the salmon eggs Benedict and a cup of coffee and her total was just under $20 and I'm not sure...
Read moreGood grief where do I begin. I think instead of Carmela's on the Extension they should rename it Cash's on the Extension, as in Johhny Cash in honor of his "one piece at a time" song. That's how the service was, one piece at a time. ZERO sense of urgency, and I am sure their employers would want to know that instead of refilling coffee (which was not good, btw) or waters or my wife's Mimosa ($10 for a 6oz flute, really?) the servers and staff stood around and talked more than they worked. We were seated in the basement - Ok fine, but the upstairs was half full at best but we didn't question it and went downstairs. We finally put our order in after waiting 20 minutes, and when another 30 went by for breakfast we asked the only server walking by about our food and she said "it's really busy upstairs." Ok, so is the basement second rate citizen seating then? The food did not make the experience any better. The cheese wasn't melted in my hash omelet and my wife asked for extra hollandaise for her meal. Again, one plate at a time. We waited for a bit for my side of grits and her extra hollandaise and eventually gave up and ate our luke warm breakfast. We even reminded them, and eventually the grits and hollandaise came 15 minutes later when we had already had enough and wanted to go and my wife had already finished her eggs Benedict. Then they charged us for the extra hollandaise which we had to ask to have it removed. Oh and when my wife finished her mimosa she asked for a ginger ale and they were out - how about bringing the table waters as good basic service? Overall not good at all and we wont be back. The staff needs a reminder they are there to work and not socialize. How about being friendly too? We felt like we were an...
Read moreI hesitated to leave a review, but my experience just felt frustrating so thought I should share. When my husband and I entered the restaurant, it was around 9 a.m. on a Saturday. I would say the restaurant was one-third to one-half full. The host took us to a table in the middle of the dining room floor. I inquired whether a booth was available. Not for the space, but because I preferred to set away from the middle of the action so to speak, and the booths were all arranged along the walls. I was told they were saving the booths for larger parties in case it got busier. I accepted that and we set down, but as I looked around I saw a single lady sitting at a booth as well as another party of two. We were the only people sitting in the middle of the floor. Strange, but I endeavored to let it go. When it came time to order, I tried to explain that my husband wanted his eggs "omelet style." Essentially, flat in the pan, like an omelet, but with no toppings. No different than scrambling an egg, just less work because all you have to do is crack, mix, and flip once or twice. We were told it would cost more to have this done. 😂😂😂 That was it for me. I have actually never left a restaurant before, but I felt so frustrated by the experience that I politely advised we would be going somewhere else. We didn't try the food, and we won't be back to do so. I've heard it's fairly good, but there are plenty of good restaurants that know the meaning of customer service. Also - a bird in hand is worth two in the bush. Next time it might be wise to service the customers that are present instead of focusing on the ones that might...
