I had a bug jump out of my burger while eating it. I took it up to the counter and showed them the bug actively running around in the aluminum foil. The girl whom I presume to be the manager was surprised, told me they would immediately remake the burger, and asked me to throw the current burger away. I then sat down. A few moments later, the girl then asked me for my receipt so that she could refund the burger for me. I gave her my receipt, she refunded my burger, and I sat back down waiting for the new burger thinking to myself maybe I atleast don't want the lettuce or whatever topping the bug rode in on. After me sitting there for a few more minutes the girl asked me if there was anything else she could assist me with as if to gaslight me into thinking the first thing she said to me after seeing the bug running around in my aluminum was not "We're going to immediately remake that burger for you". When I expressed my confusion, she explained to me that the company policy is to either remake or refund on the order. Honestly wasn't feeling confident in the 2nd burger anyways, but I am frustrated in how she declaratively stated they were going remake the burger, directed me to get a refund, and then tried to deflect the blame onto company policy when she was responsible for further waisting my time after serving me a burger with a living bug in it. Will definitely not be eating at this...
Read moreI'm new to Five Guys Restaurant. I will say the food here is worth the price. They give you plenty of food for what you pay for. It's all fresh from what I gathered. No preservatives or other stuff like that in the meat and the fries are cut on site after recieving it from a local farm somewhere in the country or locally(Not Frozen). You won't leave here hungry! Me my wife and three kids with different kinds of Burgers/BLTs,Grilled Cheese, large fries and 5 drinks were $50.02. Oh and the large fries we ordered were plenty enough to feed all 5 of us and had some leftovers. Part of the fries come in a brown paper bag then inside the brown paper bag there will be a large cup of fries. They have the Coke dispensers that have the different flavors and the condiments were in pumps you add into a small cup. It was a great experience and the food was like eating a grilled burger at home. I will.be returning to Five Guys in the near future. I just can't go without my wife and kids or they will be upset that they didn't get to eat there. If your considering it. Just go eat here. You...
Read moreTHE FOOD WAS GREAT.
However, it became evident that the reason why this Five Guys wasn't busy on a Friday night (12/30/2022) in Middletown was because the manager was SCREAMING when announcing customer orders that were ready and when communicating with staff that were on the other side of the kitchen area. And I mean SCREAMING. To the point where it hurt my ears. The gentleman who was in charge of announcing orders was clearly trying his best, but his accent made it hard to understand what numbers he was saying, so the manager quickly assumed his role leaving him with nothing to do as she SCREAMED AT THE TOP OF HER LUNGS across the room to customers. It was absolutely 100% unnecessary and has earned this joint a 2 star review. It would be 1 star but the food being excellent (aside from a little too much Cajun seasoning on the fries) gives it 2...
