Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Middletown

They use good ingredients so ultimately the food tastes good, but that's where the positive review begins and ends. I've been to this location twice. Both times we ordered online, showed up and the food wasn't ready (despite a 45min ETA, which for virtually all other restaurants nowadays would be considered a very conservative estimate). When I asked to pick up the order, the kid said sorry it's not ready then moments later said "I need roast beef!" to one of the 4 other people behind the counter, proving that the sandwich had never been started in the initial 45min. No matter your stated ETA, they will not make your food until you're standing in front of them asking why it isn't ready. This leads to chaotic environment on both sides of the counter, lots of standing around not knowing whose food is up next. My friend's sandwich bowl had about 4x what would be considered a normal proportional amount of mayo relative to the rest of the food; the excess needed to be scooped away in napkins to improve edibility. Finally, the bathroom was disgusting and the log on the door had zero entries as of 5pm. I firmly believe that not a single attempt to clean that bathroom was made yesterday. If you really want a sandwich and specifically a Jersey Mike's sandwich and specifically in Middletown, welp, I guess you should eat here. But if you have any other options, you should choose...

I really enjoy the brand and product (much better product then the local competitor). I understand busy as well as systems being down.

Unfortunately 3 out of 4 times there is an issue with service and or the overall experience at this location. I have been to this location over 20x since the opening of this location.

The majority of the times that I have entered the establishment there seemed to be enough staff however they are not being managed correctly. In one instance my order was completed and the team member walked away and was gone for 5mins. On and other instance one part of my order was complete but it took another 20mins to complete the other part (which was a cold order). The staff seems very dis-organized to say the least.

This evening I stopped by after the gym, walked in after another customer and was asked what my order was, after placing my order I was told that its cash only.... needless to say it was another disappointment and walked out.

The POS has been down many times.... its seem like 50% of the time. Do better. This has lead me down the path of writing a review something that I rarely do.

The food is always really tasty but my only issue is every time i go inside to order theres a short girl that works the register and sometimes sandwiches back and forth that always makes rude faces when people walk in and she does it to me especially. She worked today 11/28/23 on the register and when i was in line waiting she looked over to one of the male co workers and they both eyed me and made a funny face as if they was mad that i came in and like they was gonna talk slick about me or had a problem. The crazy part is how they do it right in front of people and its very unprofessional. This is like the 4th time she has done this to me and i tried to ignore it all before. This needs to be addressed to her and everyone because the next time it happens im not going to be nice about it and I will speak to upper management. I always come in being nothing but nice to each worker and I’m tired of this girl’s childish attitude for no reason if she doesnt want to be there then she needs to quit.
