Edit: went back with friends this Tuesday, everything was amazing, and actually got a picture of the steak. Will be back We came in last night for the Tomahawk Tuesday special and everything was absolutely amazing. First of all, two salads, a 40 oz tomahawk steak, two sides and two desserts for $90 is an amazing deal! Also, the side and dessert options were varied and fantastic. The menu was large enough to ensure everyone had options, but not overwhelming at all! Our server/bartender Bree was super sweet, helpful, honest, and amazing, and Enzo the owner was a delight to talk to and had great wine knowledge to help us pick out a great bottle to go with our steak. Everything we tasted was absolutely fabulous. Simple and perfected. Change absolutely nothing. Our only regret was not taking any pictures!! We will absolutely be back.

T-Bone Prime is my favorite restaurant; ever. It feels like a crime to gatekeep this place. It’s one of those rare places where you instantly feel like family bc of the service and the food tastes like something from your grandmas kitchen - if your grandma was a top chef. The staff notices the little things right away—before you even ask—and makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. The food? PHENOMENAL. I talked about the plain green beans for two weeks (yes, really). With so many places slipping on quality, this spot reminds you what it feels like to want to spend your money— literally it’s worth every cent… because the service, attention to detail, and care they put into everything is just that good.

Hands down, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. I stumbled upon this place on a Tuesday evening and discovered it was Tomahawk Tuesday, a special that includes a tomahawk steak for two, salad, two sides, and dessert, all for just $90. A very fair deal. The steak was outrageously good, rich, buttery, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It came with creamy mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse cake and coconut truffle ice cream, both outstanding. I recently dined at David Burke Prime at Foxwoods and paid twice the price for a much more underwhelming steak. I’m so grateful to have such high-quality dining right here in Middletown.

I need to share my horrific experience at T Bone Prime Steakhouse tonight. I have NEVER in my life been more appalled by a dining experience. We made a reservation to eat at 7:45. We showed up and sat down and ordered everything, almost right away. We ordered two appetizers: burrata and carpaccio. The only request I had was no red onions on the carpaccio. The appetizers came out fifteen minutes apart. By the time the carpaccio arrived; the burrata was done and thank God for that because of course, it had red onion. I notified the waitress and she took it away and apologized. I told her not to worry because I assumed dinner would be out shortly. WRONG. My husband ordered a filet mignon and I ordered a veal dish. FORTY FIVE MINUTES after the carpaccio was taken away, the waitress came over to tell us that her boss just notified her that the veal was not available. Are you kidding me!? That’s something you notify someone of shortly after ordering it - not 45 minutes later. The food should have been cooked and OUT by that time. We were stunned and disgusted. It was now 9PM and all restaurants around us are closing. We told the waitress we were leaving and she went to go PRINT THE CHECK FOR US. I approached the bar and told her we were LEAVING. I am beyond words. I never write negative reviews (check my history) but this experience was really sour. The worst part? My husband and I lost out on a date night because of this and had to return home to a babysitter we organized and paid for well in advance in anticipating of trying this new spot. The owner...

First time dining - extremely disappointed! Our reservation was 6:30 on a Saturday night - restaurant was packed. We had reservations and still had to wait 20 mins before our table was set - in the mean time - others came in and were seated immediately.

We place our order - one of our guests asked for Filet Mignon … server comes back at 7 pm to advise us that they ran out of Filet … how does this happen at 7 pm on a Saturday night?

We ordered Porter House for 2 - and again server had to confirm if they still had Porterhouse. How does that happen at 7 pm on a Saturday night? Needless to say - we had our Porter House for 2 - that was not cooked medium - and was very fatty and loaded with salt.

The reservations were made via Open Table - selected a “special event” - which was a birthday - never even acknowledged the celebration.

The topper was when our server asked if we would like coffee - I asked for a cappuccino- our server said - “ I have to confirm if the coffee machine is still on”! At 8:45 pm on a Saturday night- you need to confirm if your cappuccino/espresso machine is on??? Thank goodness the coffee machine was still on - the cappuccino was very good along with the chocolate...

Overall well-made food, but in the interest of seeing them succeed - owners, please pay attention to the details that leave negative impressions. Examples:

  1. $26 Carpaccio app. Beef and salad elements were fine, but then some store bought saltines are placed on top — they had the “Keebler” brand lol. You want your food eaten on a saltine?! You have good bread there for the bread basket. Make a few thin slices to toast with some oil and seasoning.
  2. rib eye steak was pleasant. I ordered truffle fries as side. What came was surely frozen Sysco or Restaurant Depot fries. With a $65 steak, I’d have enjoyed house-made fries. They’re cheap and not hard to make. You won’t compete long with nearby J Gilbert’s or Carbone’s Prime like that. Diners like me who would spend $150pp for a steakhouse experience don’t want saltines and frozen fries. If you want to go that way, then be a casual bistro with lower...
