Update May 2nd,2018
Stopped in to eat about 3:40 after leaving O'Charley's because no one would seat us. Got seated quickly but not in the best of areas. We were seated right behind the hostess table where guest are checked in. Because of the way they seat you to be fair to the waiters/waitresses moving wasn't an option. So while I don't mind the noise or the music, I do have an issue with people standing and talking. Or parents allowing their young kids to climb on the wall that devides the eating area from the greeting area.
Even though the service time was slower than usual and the above distractions, we made the best of everything because it's been a great place to hang out with friends and family and have a bite to eat.
We ordered steak and shrimp, baked potato and salads. Of course we had garlic butter and rolls which were hot and tasty.
When we got our meals the shrimp was not quite up to the normral standards. Put butter on the potatoes and let it sit to melt a minute and the butter never melted. Took a bite of the steak and it to was cold. Waiter got new order of steak n potatoe. Then minutes later being brought to the table, I was eager to eat, especially the steak as it's always been hot n grilled to perfection. Unfortunately, I guess it wasn't meant for me to eat out that day. Couldn't get seated at O'Charley's, come to Texas Roadhouse and food is cold. 2nd try, potatoe was hot, but the steak was not only cold again, but it was half as thick as the original one and was about just a little over half the size of the original.
Manager came over and profusely apologized saying she would make it right covering a 3rd attempt which I politely declined.
Finished our drinks and the waiter brought our ticket to pay. He informed me that the manager took $10.00 off the receipt as a good will offer. The waiter took the ticket back to the manager saying he wanted to talk to her about it. 5 minutes later, he came back and said the manager agreed with him Not to charge us for the meals. We thanked him and he got a heafty tip left for him that would have been used to pay for the meal.
I'm guessing it was just one of those occasions where if it could go wrong, it did. Nonetheless, I still like Texas Roadhouse and will continue to recommend it. We go to the new one at Snyder/Shelbyville rd and in Middletown. Both are generally speaking excellent to eat at.
With this being said, while things were a little sub par on Saturday afternoon compared to all the other times I've ate there and enjoyed it, I won't let it keep me from going back to the restaurant again in the future or recommending it. We all have a day here or there where for whatever reason things just don't go as planned. Being they waived 35.00 I'm certainly not going to say there terrible and I'd never eat there again. Contrary I tip my hat to them for their professionalism and the service they provided in trying to make things right.
Excellent service, friendly helpful servers, great food, plenty of good company, the garlic butter bread is always hot and tasty. Music always loud and booming. Get there early and get In quickly. Decide to eat later and even with reservations you could wait for 90 minutes or more on Friday/Saturday. That's about the only thing that's negative about it. Eat early 5 stars across the board. Eat later and while I still give staff and food a 5, service drops to a 3 to 3.5 due to the long wait...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. I have been to several different texas roadhouse. This is the worst one yet. We scheduled online so we could eat once we was done shopping. The wait was 1 hour. Upon arrival we wasn't even greeted. We stood there for 10 minutes while the hostess chatted with everyone around us except us. Once we was acknowledged one of the ladies sat us at a very small table. We was told they were very very busy. I looked around I seen probably 20 customers at most. Atleast 14 tables empty completely. That was just the ones around where I was sitting. We was seated WITHOUT any silverware. Wasn't given any rolls nothing! Was told once again how busy they were. Our waiter would be with us when they wasn't so busy! We waited what seemed like forever. Waiter arrived explained we had no silverware. That we would love some rolls and could we please get a regular cup of butter along with the famous Texas butter. We ordered drinks appetizer and meals since we knew what we already wanted. Went to restroom upon walking to restroom 2 employees had their feet out in the aisle. I had to walk around them once it was safe to do so. They were rough housing ,giggling etc... Yeah I could see why they were so busy!! Many young employees to busy worrying about what the other employee was doing. No consideration for any customer. The appetizer was brought again with out any SILVERWARE!! We notified the manager about no drinks, no rolls, no butter, no silverware to eat the appetizer etc. It took another 15 minutes for us to get rolls texas butter and drinks. No silverware no reg butter. After an hour of shenanigans I found another manager, not sure if the previous manager left or not. Explained the ordeal had been way to much and considering I didn't eat I wanted to leave. She offered to get me something else lol. After the ordeal I had just went through NO THANK YOU!! We wasn't charged and we walked out. I would of just loved the opportunity to have eaten and had some alone time with my husband. Very upset since Texas roadhouse is my favorite place to eat. Guess I will just have to go to a different location. Please fix that store so Texas roadhouse's name...
Read moreI had two $20 off cards. Me my girlfriend and her mother all went in to eat. I informed the server that we needed separate checks because we weren't all together and that we intended to use these cards. So they take our orders, bring us our food and we eat, Ken. The server comes and gets the cards and takes them to the manager and the manager comes out and says oh you can't use two cards. I explained to him that we drove to this place separately. I told the server I was going to use these cards. We have separate checks and I was never told there was a problem until after we've already ordered and ate our food and now have to pay this almost $100 food bill. I would have been a little more restrained in ordering if I would have known that I couldn't use these cards, if I would have been told when I told them I was going to use them that I wasn't allowed to then I could understand but to wait until after I've ordered and eaten my food to tell me. Me oh! We're sorry you can't use these. You can only use one of them. I feel like I should have been told that at the onset. The manager was less than friendly. He was very short and spent zero time or effort to explain anything or listen to the fact that I had expressed my intent to use these cards. When we first arrived. He simply let me know. Could not use both those cards and he was done with the whole situation. I love Texas Roadhouse, it is by far my favorite restaurant but I will never visit the one on Shelbyville road again. Even if I am starving to death. I will never patronize give my business to or my money too. Anyone who has so little regard that they can't be bothered to listen to my side of a situation or explain to me thoroughly. Thoroughly why I can't do something that I expressly made clear I intended to do before I ever ordered your food. The server that served us was excellent. I don't know her name but she was a great server. Very attentive but not overbearing. She apologized for the fact that we couldn't use the cards even though it wasn't her fault, it's just a shame her manager didn't have that same respect and attention to his customers. Maybe she should be the manager and he should be...
