Jimmy's Egg — Restaurant in Midland

As I sit in the restaurant waiting for my service to be done let me write this review. So I called in a order after canceling my order at Cracker Barrel for bad service, decided to try this new joint thinking it would be better but it wasn’t. I came to sit at the counter and was not greeted by any of the staff that walked passed me like I didn’t exist. A young lady by the name of Yasmin finally comes over to greet me after about 8 mins, remind you she was busting her butt doing other things but she greeted me anyway. Told her I just placed a take out order but I don’t think it’s ready yet. She checked on it for me and I waited. My food came out pretty quick after she checked on it for me but they charged me the wrong price. She sent me a ticket that was $32 but I paid $38 for an order that wasn’t mine. Had to get it refund but the refund will take 3-5 days. Asking for the receipt to show proof that it would get refunded, Yasmin couldn’t help me because she needed a mananger to do it. So i was trying to wait patiently but my food was getting cold so I asked for a manager. It just so happen that the manager, ANGIE, was the same lady that looked me in my eyes at the counter didn’t say a word to me when i came in, NO, “I’ll be with you in a sec, NO, “Hi how are you doing today, NOTHING! Get home food was cold and NO I should not have to put my food in the microwave and the food wasn’t even worth $32. That’s why I will take Waffle House over any breakfast spot but I live in West Texas where the service is always bad, even at a new spot like Jimmy’s Eggs. I don't usually bash or shame restaurants on a public platform, but this place was NOT a good experience for me! Upon entering this establishment, I got an immediate fast-food McDonalds type feel to it. No one was seating patrons, so I seated myself. As I was walking toward a clean table, I felt glare of the several servers who were talking and tending to others consumers. No one greeted me or showed me to a table! As I seated myself, I heard an older gentleman say to the waitress he was conversing with say "you got another customer." She glanced over at me and stated,"I'll get to him in a minute!" After about 5 minutes had passed, the server came around and took my drink order. Upon returning with my coffee, she then took my food order. I ordered the Country skillet as the description sounded delightful. Country skillet: Seasoned hash browns, crumbled sausage, bacon, mushrooms, onions; buttermilk biscuit, sausage gravy.

The above description is what I was expecting, but what I got was regrettably different. What I got was what seemed like an entire chopped white onion with some egg, a couple of crumbles of bacon, pale white sausage, and few, if any, mushrooms on top of hash browns! The biscuit came on the side and was accompanied by the sickest looking pale, slimy, and grainy gravy with the same pale white looking sausage mixed in. I had about two bites before I determined that I could not stomach the food any longer! Needless to say, I left hungry...

this was my second time here, and i’m seriously debating on ever going back because of the SERVER I HAD. Her name was Ashley. Rudest server i’ve ever had! I’ve been a server before and I understand sometimes we have hard days but there’s no excuse to take it on the paying customers like that. My boyfriend and I tip well but we did not tip her nothing. From the MOMENT we sat down we felt rushed and unwelcomed. Didn’t even introduce herself just immediately said “what do y’all want to drink” in the most snobbiest attitude and rude face. After that we asked for a drink menu (specifically for coffee) and she again with the worst attitude said “uh all we have is blah blah blah” Making us feel so dumb for even asking for a drink menu. (The first time we went there was one🤷🏼‍♀️) And then for my order I had ordered a side of mini pancakes, when I told her the flavor I said two flavors. She basically rolls her eyes and leaves, comes back and says “which one do you want cinnimon roll or chocolate chip? Cause you said both” Again with a very rude attitude. She could’ve explanied to me the side mini was only a one flavor option. When I answered with one flavor she said “That’s what i thought” Like what?!??? She was so rude the entire time for no reason. My boyfriend and I will not be returning thanks to Ashley, and if we do we’ll be sure to not get her AGAIN. Worst service we’ve...
