The Golden Whisk Bakery and Cafe — Restaurant in Midland

I live out of town and wanted to have some treats delivered to my Father for his 70th Birthday. I went online to order, the website requested a delivery address and I clicked submit. Then my order confirmation showed that i had to pick up the treats that same day- delivery was not available, AFTER they charged my card. Ok, fine, they have some bugs to work out on their website, however when I called the first time , the employee that answered said A: 'we don't deliver' and B: 'I don't know how to process refunds' and stated the Owner would call me back once they arrived at the shop.

By the time I received a call from the Owner that day, I had already made other arrangements for my Father's birthday gift. The owner then told me that they could still deliver the treats if I wanted them to, but since I had already made and paid for other arrangements, I requested a refund instead. Then, in turn, the Manager stated "ok, I will take care of this for you".

Here it is 8 days later and still no refund, email response, or call back.

So disappointing and Happy...

I recently ordered a cookie decorating kit for Halloween. I picked up the kit the Friday before Halloween for a small event the next day. When we went to decorate the cookies, two of the bags of frosting were pure liquid and the third wasn’t much better. It made decorating the cookies impossible and a huge mess. The kids were not happy. I messaged the company on FB messenger and told them what happened and asked if the icing should have been refrigerated and was told no. Their solution was to tell me to come pick up more frosting the following Monday. I told them that would be pointless since the kit was for that one day and that we had passed out all of the cookies. I never heard back from them after that. Definitely not worth the $50 I paid and I probably won’t...

Appears they were not ready for the influx of customers with the introduction of bagles; not enough staff. They were out of many items for the bagels and didn't cross them off the menu, so we didn't know. At first, there were two workers, and one disappeared for about 5 minutes and then just one working the coffee and bagels. Took over 25 minutes to get our coffees. We got the bagels right away. There was eventually a third employee. Much improvement is needed regarding processes, execution and atmosphere. Although the potential for it to be cute inside is there, it feels like they just threw things up. Couldn't tell if all the plates and teacup were for sale or...
