Do you like a good brew? Do you like German/Czech cuisine? Do you like an atmosphere that resembles a hunting lodge in the Old World? If yes, Bohemian's Brewpub might just be the place for you. Bohemian is also a brewery who sells their traditional German/Czech-styled brews across Utah and if you can't get enough of their brews and want to enjoy some great food with it or perhaps take home a growler of one of their brews you can't normally get in the grocery stores, this is the place for you. This brewpub is based on a hunting lodge common to those Old World locales such as Bavaria and Bohemia and has plenty of room to enjoy your meal. Do note, even during the week at lunch, they do get good traffic so be mindful when coming here. Both times I've been here the waitstaff is very attentive and will happily answer any question you have on either the food or the brews. Even during my meal there this time, the Brewpubs manager/owner even walked around the dining area to make sure their guests were treated well and their food meeting their expectations. Oh yes, did I mention they serve their craft brews here? If you want to try some of their brews, especially if it's one you cannot normally get in the grocery stores, they have these cute little 2 oz mugs they serve samples of their brews in and makes trying their different beers fun. And of course they have the traditional pints and the Lovely Talls (24 oz) mugs. Though if you want to replicate a bierhall experience? Yes, you can! They have a manly stein, a 32 oz (1L) Maß - that's basically a German-styled regulation mug. Their Vienese Lager is a great brew to enjoy in that manly stein, as I would also recommend their Cherny Bock. I've also tried their LagerX which was a seasonal brew last year which is also very good though being someone who isn't into as hoppy brews as others, their more recent HAL 9000 (Hoppy Amber Lager) might be for someone more at home with pale ales. And if you REALLY like that brew you had in your mug, you can get a growler and bring it home with you. Now, on to the menu. This place has a mix of both normal pub fare (nachos, wings, sandwiches, pizza, etc.) which I haven't tried yet though I would love to return and try their Cherny Bock French Dip sandwich. What really brings me here is their German/Czech menu selection. Brats? Check. Pierogies? Check. Weinerschnitzel? Check. Though do note, Bohemian does put their own touch on their German/Czech fare so this isn't the straight out of the German delicatessen experience. But that definitely doesn't mean its bad. It's quite good. ^^ The first time I was here I had their brats and pierogies. I think between the two, I like the pierogies a little better though the Brats are very good and I recall them having a nice snap when you bite into them and are very fresh. This time though, I tried their stroganoff, served over spätzle (you have a choice of mashed potatoes, linguine noodles and spätzle). The beef was cooked just right with a nice medium on the meat the spätzle was soft and just the right amount of chew and the gravy, a little thinner than my usual experiences when my family makes it, was very tasty. The manager/owner even asked if the dish was doing it justice and even asked if I liked some extra gravy which I gratefully accepted. Do be prepared to spend a bit for your meal - it's roughly $20-$25 a person for many of the dishes plush a soft drink, closer to $30 if you wanted to enjoy a brew with your meal. So this is definitely a place I would consider more of a treat than a regular stop, but it's definitely worth that once-in-a-while visit. And if you're dining with a group, the variety of different dishes is a boon for those who have specific preferences or want...
Read moreBohemian Brewery is hands down one of the best spots in Utah for incredible craft beer, delicious food, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, cozy vibe with a European twist that makes you feel right at home.
The star of the show here is, without a doubt, the beer. Bohemian specializes in traditional European-style lagers, and you can taste the craftsmanship in every sip. Their Czech Pilsner is crisp, refreshing, and perfectly balanced – honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere. If you like something a little more robust, the Vienna Lager and Cherny Bock are must-tries. They brew with authenticity and care, sticking to old-world brewing traditions that are hard to find in today’s craft beer scene.
But it’s not just about the beer – the food menu is just as impressive. If you’re a fan of hearty comfort food, you’ll love their bratwurst, schnitzel, and pierogis, which pair perfectly with their lagers. Even the burgers and sandwiches are top-notch, with generous portions and bold flavors. Don’t skip the beer cheese pretzel – it’s a perfect starter to share (or keep all to yourself).
The staff here really elevates the whole experience. They’re friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to recommend the perfect beer and food pairing. You can tell they genuinely care about the brewery and the customers, which makes a huge difference.
The vibe is relaxed yet lively, whether you’re hanging out at the bar, sitting inside with friends, or enjoying the outdoor patio on a sunny day. It’s a great place for a casual night out, a fun date, or even just to grab a cold beer after a long day.
Final Thoughts: Bohemian Brewery is a true treasure in Utah. They’ve mastered the art of brewing traditional European-style lagers while creating a welcoming space that keeps you coming back again and again. Whether you’re a beer aficionado or just looking for great food and drinks, this place deserves a spot at the top of your list.
Highly recommend grabbing a flight so you can try a bit of everything – but don’t be surprised if you end up leaving with a growler or a six-pack...
Read moreThe Bohemian Grill is in a very nice A-frame, mountain cabin. It is a perfect place for an "after ski" lodge. The grill has been there for many, many years. The beer is always good. I always like to try the dark beer. Its very flavorful. Try the Cherny Bock, you wont be disappointed. They serve many different kinds of beers. The food, everywhere we looked, it looked delicious. Our mouths were watering. We saw this. We saw that. We wanted to try this. We wanted to try that. I settled for the Bohemian club sandwich with Ham, Turkey, and Bacon. It was absolutely delicious. The ham and the turkey were not dry or overcooked. The fried bread was a little greasy, but the inside of the sandwich made up for it. I was very, very disappointed in the alleged french onion soup. I say alleged because I have never seen so much bread hiding underneath a slice of cheese. The ratio of onion and bread compared to actual broth was dismal. There was barely any broth because it was soaked up with all the bread that was inside of it. I never had french onion soup, so disappointing. I was looking forward to tasting the soup broth. I do not recommend the french onion soup. I should have had the side salad. At least I would have gotten my vegetables. Prior to ordering our food, they took us up these creaky stairs to the upstairs level. The only reason why I was concerned is because people tend to drink a lot of alcohol when they're eating good food and what if... they tumbled down the stairs sideways. But the place is older so of course the stairs are going to sound weird but they are stable and sturdy. Everywhere I looked, everyone was enjoying the atmosphere and their food and conversation. The wait staff was very nice and present. There was also no wait when we got there , we were able to get a table right away. I like the way they got it set up because they can get a lot of people in.I'm not have to have pretentious booths for privacy. That way during Octoberfest we can all go...
