Arctic Circle — Restaurant in Midvale

I’ve had Artic Circle at another location when I visited, but this location really stands out to me because of BILL. What a great guy! I am visiting, and I came into the store alone with lots of questions. Bill was very patient with me, answered all my questions with much enthusiasm, and he showed a lot of passion in arctic circles food. He told me that this specific location has been around for 40 years, but Arctic Circle has been around since the 50s. He keeps emphasizing that all the ingredients are locally sourced for example, the beef, the dairy, the fresh produce. I love that! The potatoes are from Idaho apparently. He also explained to me that the items under the label Arctic Circle original means it’s the original recipe by Arctic Circle. He tells me that all the Arctic Circle locations are locally owned, meaning all the owners live in Utah.

I got the cheeseburger which was surprisingly better than I expected. The star of the meal though was the chocolate strawberry banana shake with cheesecake. I can’t believe I ate the whole thing, it was so good. I loved the real bits of strawberry and banana. Bill says he likes to get the cheesecake bites on his birthday. How sweet is that?!? You would think he’d be sick of it since he works there but it’s his special treat on his birthday.

This was the WORST place I've ever eaten in my life. The smell of urine hits you when you walk in permeating from the play area. The drink station reeks of mildew and the cheese in our burgers was literally stretchy and yet leathery at the same time. My family was sick with diarrhea for three days after eating there. Then they lock the bathrooms so that they don't have to clean them. There's some serious management issues going on there that need to be fixed immediately. The place needs to be shut down and scrubbed for a week. The play area needs to be dismantled and steam cleaned and there needs to be porous mats laid down with a drainage system in place so it can be cleaned properly. I would fire the entire staff and rehire a new staff at a hirer wage and PROPERLY train them for a week. Also get rid of the tables and put in ones that don't squeeze people quality is better than quantity and there isn't a large crowd eating there anyway so get rid of the cramped booths. Now that I found the address, time and place I will definitely be calling the department of health tomorrow. There's absolutely no excuse for any dining establishment to be in this condition other than...

Waiting for friends to arrive to have some lunch, when I realized that I had to go to the restroom. Well that was a huge mistake as if it was my control. I learned that In order to Use restroom you need a key. I asked the cashier for the key, she asked me if I had purchased anything? Well I hadn't yet but that is cause I'm waiting for my friends. So not allowed to use The restroom until you buy something. OK well I'm going to eat here do I will order something. After I got something, only then was the bathroom door unlocked for me. I don't know how long that it takes everyone to use the restroom, hopefully you are under 2 min and if you aren't they will begin to bang on the door. Even if you respond back to the rude knocking, they will again pound the door till you open the door. Heaven forbid that you have any emergency and you wash your hands and maybe dry them, cause it's clearly not OK with them. Only if you can do everything you need to do UNDER THE 3 MIN ARTIC CIRCLE RULE!!!! NOW I'M JUST GOING TO WONDER IF THEY ARE WASHING THEIR HANDS OR JUST BACK TO WORK THEY...
