I cannot believe how much the quality of service declined under the excuse of a pandemic combined with the fear or dislike of "undesirable" people lingering or loitering in the area...
Let me explain: inside the lobby long lines and long time to be served which is ridiculous in a "fast food" establishment especially a McDonald's franchise tho' the staff is working hard and not sitting a second just to keep up with the orders from drive trough combined with the dining lobby area, they are overworked and understaffed to properly serve the customers I've asked what time they close the lobby dining area and no one could give me a straight answer and was no clear posting hours on the doors entrance as usual the beverage fountains, two of them not working, for a drink or refill need to ask and wait long time the staff no ketchup and mustard and mayo available for use while dining inside, you need anything you need to ask and wait long time for a staff member even so, no mayo at this location at the time of my visit and that's a deal breaker for me no power outlets so no way one can charge his phone or do some work on a laptop while enjoying the meal, what do we think this is?? A civilized McDonald's in 2022 customers friendly?? No, not at all... In fact there was a resemblance of some power outlets installed at the time of building the lobby dining room but were all covered if you can believe it so people, customers eating inside the lobby dining area won't use... how screwed up is that...
I understand they - the staff, admins owners - are afraid or sick and tired of the "undesirable" lingering and loitering maybe too much in the area, but in the end it's a brick and mortar business a public retail fast food establishment and as such some risks are associated with operating the business, that doesn't mean you have to shutdown the beverage fountains, both of them, not to keep stocked the lobby dining room with ketchup and mustard and mayo and salt and pepper, make customers ask a staff member for virtually every little item like pepper or ketchup or mustard and make the customers wait long time just to ask and then wait again long time to receive whatever they're asking for, while overloading the staff that's already overworked as it is just to keep up...
It's sad and pitiful we've reached that level of low quality... prices are going up yet food is the same, even smaller quantities of the same items and more important the quality of service is going down... it's just pitiful...
It's pitiful there are top many homeless people in the area looking for a place to sit and inevitably destroying the beauty of the place if it ever was one... it's pitiful the owners of the place can't deal with this odd situation but choose to punish the paying customers with lowered quality of service... it's just pitiful...
Which is why I won't return to this location and I can't recommend...
Read moreMy family stopped at the McDonalds off of 7200 S and ordered 1 Large Sausage McMuffin meal, a sausage McMuffin sandwhich, 2 plain Large Double Quarter Pounder meals and a 10 piece nugget. The young gentleman helping said $20.24. I gave him $20.25 and something was wrong with the printer so no receipt. Our order came and we were missing our fries, and the 10 piece. I asked the manager if he charged us and if not I will pay. She said just go and pay for 2 large fries and a 10 piece and she will get it to us. I asked for a complete do over because now we are paying for 2 meals and all separate which means I will be paying more. She huffs and refunds everything but never gave the money back. She had her own way of doing it which was ok at the time. She then says your balance is $13.60(the original $20.25 is still in the till) so I hand her another $20 and she gives me $6.40 back. By this time our food has been sitting and got cold which We we’re still going to eat. We open our Double Quarter Pounders and both were not plain so I decided to ask for a full refund and go somewhere else. I calmly asked the manager(She had no name tag but an employee said her name is Cara or Carla) for a full refund and she refunds $21.39. I then told her we gave her more than that and she was confused with the way she handled the original refund and kept arguing with me. I then tell her that the total amount that came out of my wallet is not matching the amount she was giving me. She then said, oh I forgot the $10. Then she adds $10 to it. I then told her it’s still not right. I pull out my calculator to show her how much I paid and she yelled saying, I know how to do math sir. But obviously she doesn’t. I gave a total of $33.85 and she gave us $31.39. She then storms off to the back and says, let me call my supervisor. Another young lady comes to the front with $2 as if they are just trying to get rid of us. Mind you I was calm the entire time. Needless to say, we wasted 20 min there, did not eat a thing, paid $33.85 and left with $33.39. So we actually paid $.46 for all this and she just wouldn’t come out and talk to us or offer any sort of apology. Worst part is, I apologized to her for asking for a refund. This is just poor management in her part. If you look at your cameras around the receipts time stamp, she was also picking food off of the tables and eating which is very unprofessional to begin with. Read moreMake sure that the cashier hand you back your debit card. This morning I was on my way to work and stopped at McDonald's. To start out the cashier that kept my debit card always has an attitude. This morning she handed my food and she closed the window. The reason I say kept is because when I called I requested to speak to the store manager. The person that answered said this is she. I asked you're the store manager she said yes. I told her that the cashier did not return my debit card she asked me my name she then told me yes it is here she told me when I walked by your card was still in the machine She continued to blame me telling me that that it was my fault I told her when her cashier closed the window I figured that we were done she said the window wasn't closed it was open because when I walked by that's when I saw your debit card. You could have easily asked for your debit card I told her what actually confused me is that the food is given to you after payment is received not before. I explain to her that I was on 11400 South at a gas station and that I had no money for gas I was on zero on empty. I asked her if somebody could please bring me my debit card due to the fact that I wouldn't make it back and that I would become stranded. She told me no because her people rode the tracks. I said well what about you do you have a car she said yes but I'm running a store. I reminded her that it was her cashier's fault for not paying attention. And that when she handed me my food she closed the window I assumed we were done I told her I understand that but I'm stranded and I also need to get to work. She again blamed me that it was my fault that I should have knocked on the window and ask for my debit card back But wait a minute didn't you just say that the window was open. I'm not going to lie I was very upset I'm stranded I have no money and a way to get back. I was so embarrassed I had to ask a stranger for $5 to get back to McDonald's to get my debit card. When I got back to McDonald's I drove up to the window and I told them I want my debit card again I'm not going to lie I was upset. I grabbed my card out of the cashiers hand she had purple hair. I told her you guys need to be more careful you know what she told me she said f you b** she stuck her head out the window as I drove off and continue to swear at me.
