Ate here yesterday after a tobogganing trip at soldier hollow. The wait was decent but everything went down hill after getting seated. I asked for a drink once we were sat and waited a good 20 minutes after which we reminded them my drink hadn't come yet. We reminded them again. Another 20 minutes goes by and we remind them again at which point they said "oh sorry she's a new server and we're actually out of that drink.." so I ordered a different drink. Again it never arrives. We spent 2 hours in this place and they never brought me my drink even after 3 reminders.

Other than that the salsa bar is on one side of the restaurant thru a hallway and it's a bit confusing to go hunting for it. Then we ordered fries as a side for my son and they brought out rice instead. They were not packed so it seems a little odd that they couldn't keep up with drink orders and the salsa bar being out of any salsa that wasn't fiery hot.

I found a small hair, looked like a eyelash or something in my food which ruined my appetite halfway through.

All in all for the price of this food I would dine elsewhere. I tried to be understanding in case there were staff shortages but you shouldn't have to go through your entire 2 hour meal without a drink even after reminding your waiter 3 times. Your food shouldn't come out cold when there's only 3 tables sat when you're eating. You should get what you ordered so your kid can actually eat.

If it weren't for cancel culture and PC we probably wouldn't have left a tip because at no point were we shown service...

The only thing good about my experience at Lupitas was the company of 6 of my siblings. I should have known something was wrong with the place when it was empty on a Saturday night. I ordered a Coke Zero and had to remind the waitress 20 minutes later that I ordered the drink. We had been sitting there for at least 5 minutes and our waitress comes and takes drink order and appetizer orders, our table ordered drinks and several orders of guacamole, they brought drinks and guacamole to the table and still had not brought any chips out. Then they finally brought chips I asked if they were going to bring out salsa, at this point she says oh, yeah there is a salsa bar down the hall in a different room. While there was a big selection of salsas, none of them were good, very bland and watered down tasting. As the waitress is taking our dinner order we ran out of chips and I still hadn’t got my Coke Zero yet and had to remind her. No one was impressed with their entrees, I ordered beef fajitas, meat was subpar quality, very grisely, cut in very thin strips like shoestrings and way overcook almost like jerky. Fajitas were $26 what a rip off!!! All 7 of our guests ordered something different and no one liked the food. Both the service and food was terrible, the only plus about the place was the atmosphere was pleasant. I would not recommend this place. We all spent at least $40 and every one...

Our wonderful dining experience turned into a horrible and stressful situation due to fraud. I ordered the tilapia and my husband ordered the shredded beef burrito. We both could not stop commenting about how much flavor our food had. The salsa bar was well stocked and had a tasty variety. We even tipped 30% because our service was outstanding. Ten minutes into our drive back home, my husband realized we didn't receive our credit card when we received the receipt. We turned around and were impressed they asked to see an ID to give our card back. The next day, I was telling everyone how great this place was. But, at 11am, I received a fraud notice from Chase that there was suspicious behavior. I checked our account and saw four other charges that we had not made. The first one was less than two hours after we dined at Lupitas. This restaurant was the only place we visited that weekend. I am more than disappointed that we do our best to support local first only to not be given the same respect. I understand times are tough, but they are tough for everyone. We felt the food was so great it is worth going, just make sure you...

Lupita’s Valley Mexican Restaurant in Midway, Utah, gives off a warm, welcoming vibe that you’d expect from a family-run business, which I always love to see. There’s a certain charm in knowing that the people behind the counter are likely the same folks who poured their heart and soul into creating the menu. One of the first things that caught my eye was the salsa bar, which offers a wide selection of salsas to suit various tastes. However, despite the variety, I found many of the salsas to be lacking in flavor, which was a bit disappointing. On the bright side, the guacamole appetizers were a hit, fresh and creamy, just as you’d hope. When it came to the main dishes, the overall sentiment from our group was pretty consistent: “Not the best I’ve had, but not the worst.” It’s clear there’s potential here, and I really want to support local, family-owned businesses like this one. Hopefully, they’ll take feedback like this to heart and make some tweaks. One thing that absolutely shone, though, were the homemade corn tortillas. They were outstanding—soft, warm, and just the right amount of chewy. If nothing else, I’d come back just for those.

Worst Tacos. These tacos where the most expensive tacos I have ever purchased and I got nothing for it! They put the SMALLEST pieces of shrimp on the SMALLEST tortilla I have ever seen used for a taco. And not only that, that being out RANCH (disgusting) and pico so you literally have to make the taco yourself and each taco had only one tortilla so it just fell apart completely when picked up. Before taxes they where 10.50 for two tacos. It was so ridiculous. Also the service is so bad! I had to ask for so many things that they forgot to put on our table. This was the worst taco experience of my life I hope this place seriously rethinks their pricing. Stay FAR AWAY from Lupitas. 🌮💔

If you're looking for a place to relax and eat desserts this is perfect. Most items were made in house and flavorful. We tried 5 different handmade popsicles with the strawberries and cream as the favorite but not sure there is a bad option. The dulce de leches was topped with frosting a little differently but still delicious. The salsa bar was again homemade and loaded with mild to hot options. Although the staff forgot we were there we had to ask for more chips and several essential things like water. But maybe ask to sit by the bar and do not eat the tamales as they are more corn than tamales.
