Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in Milpitas

It is an interesting place. One late afternoon I had some extra time to kill. I was wondering if it would be ok to come here grab a coffee/snack, open laptop and get some work done. When I walked in the place, there were some tables with laptops open and even one with notebooks. Felt pretty good. Got a coffee & snack and sat down working. Servers were nice and courteous. Make you feel comfortable.

There was an animated conversation on the next table about startups, valuations, tax regimes, wealth transfer to kids and stuff like that. Didn't want to eavesdrop, but they were pretty loud. Couldn't help but overhear. Don't know if this one of the places where "cool" crowd hangs out or was it a one of thing.

My fav place for coffee, their Havana cappuccino is the best. However, the service we received today wasn’t upto the mark, I ordered three havana cappuccinos through the Peet’s mobile app to pickup in store. Upon reaching the store, I noticed that the coffees weren’t placed in the order ahead section so thought it’s still being made. After standing and waiting for a few mins, I saw three coffee cups put on the surface closer to the person making it, when I asked for my order and about why the cups weren’t placed in the order ahead section? They mentioned about having too many orders and no space on the order ahead rack, however there was plenty of space to fit more than 3 cups so felt a bit disappointing. The havana cappuccino...

I don't consider myself to be a coffee bean aficionado; however, I do enjoy a hot cup of good customer service. This location has great, friendly, and professional staff that almost make up for paying the outrageous markups that all cafes charge for percolation. Keyword: ALMOST. The positive lean of this rating is contributed mostly by the wonderful employees. If this were a review of the staff, it would display 5 happy stars.
