I only have one complaint about a staff named Alicia(hopefully not fake name). Usually I have an amazing experience with all Dutch staff and locations, but Alicia was having a bad day and was taking it out on a regular customer. From the start to end she had a very nasty attitude. First I come up to the window and say “hi how are you?” Alicia said “what do you want?” I said “kids blue raspberry Italian soda with no cream please” and a medium rebel with two flavors along with a medium watermelon Italian soda. Alicia did not read back my order or ask if I wanted to leave a tip and didn’t ask if I wanted receipt. I saw that she made a kids rebel when I asked for a Italian soda no cream, so I asked nicely if she can make the correct drink she then proceeded to argue that I said rebel but went ahead and remade it. Alicia then made the other two drinks wrong. Usually all the ladies at this location have amazing customer service but as a regular I did not like how Alicia was treating me so I asked for her name and said “I’m sorry but you got all drinks wrong I felt like you weren’t listening to me and you never read back order and are being rude towards me.” Alicia argued “I did read it back to you, and it’s been a day.” I then replied “No, you didn’t read back order and I understand but usually staff here aren’t rude like this I hope you have a better day.” Alicia then slammed shut the window. It’s unprofessional for staff to take “bad days” out on customers. She also did not offer or apologize to fix for charging me the incorrect drink. I ended up coming back and a lovely lady helped me resolve the issue. Please remind Alicia it’s unprofessional in customer service to argue and take bad days out on people. Thank you to all the other ladies for their...
Read moreWhile visiting Portland, Oregon, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Dutch Bros Coffee originated here. We stopped by one of their shops, and despite a long line, it was well worth the wait. Founded in 1992 by two brothers who call themselves the “Dutch Bros,” they set out to make coffee that people genuinely enjoy and to bring something positive to their community. It’s safe to say they’ve succeeded.
I tried their caramelized coffee, and while some may find it a bit sweet, it hit the spot for me. Their drive-thru-only setup has a super friendly vibe, reminding me a lot of In-N-Out Burger, with that same upbeat, customer-focused mentality. The staff’s friendliness added to the experience and left me looking forward to the next visit. If you’re in Portland and looking for great coffee with a positive atmosphere, Dutch Bros is definitely worth checking out.
Dutch Bros’ continued growth reflects its appeal beyond its Oregon origins, with locations now expanding rapidly across the U.S., including California, Arizona, and other states. Their signature drinks, which include a variety of specialty coffees, teas, and seasonal flavors, are central to their popularity and growth strategy in these...

🎖🏆🥇CUSTOMER SERVICE 🥇🏆🎖
They offer a wide variety of interesting and yummy proprietary concoctions and standard espresso hot, cold, and blended drinks. All good. But their customer service model is what keeps me seeking them out and returning. Here's what I'm talkin' 'bout...
THE OTHER GUYS: Wait in a drive-thru to yell into an order box, then wait some more behind the ten cars in front of you, then pay and wait some more at the window.
DUTCH BROS: Pull in to the drive-thru and one or two real people carrying tablets and card swipers (sometimes wearing AWESOME rain tent backpacks!) walk up to your car window, take your order, swipe your card, and the line moves forward at a pace you wouldn't think possible for the sheer volume of traffic pushing through. GENIUS!
So, do not be afraid of long lines at Dutch Bros! You'll spend more time deciding what you want to order than you will waiting to get it into your...
